White Digital HDMI AV Adapter Converter for iPad iPhone iPod

Certain movies will not play on your tv due to protection issues. This is not communicated on this product or on iTunes. When hooking up my iPad Gen 2 to my Sony HD TV using this adapter and an HDMI cable, I get a message that "the connected display is not authorized to play protected movies". This apparently is an Apple restriction and only applies to certain movies. Unfortunately, there's no way to know which movies will be effected until you try and play them. Using the Red; Yellow; White plugs allows you to get past this but that defeats the purpose of having the HDMI capability. There are a number of posts on the Apple Support Communities about this issue. Just do a google search on the message.

Shipped quickly. Can use the HDMI with my Iphone. RCA jacks work with the Ipod. Would have liked if I could hook up the ipod directly to the HDMI. Had other types and had to return them because they wouldn't work.

Weak, cheap, and a waste of money. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is the AV cords work for my VCR.

Works great. Now I can get my I tunes movies on my 70 inch TV.

An amazing, one-of-a-kind product that, once you have it, you say to yourself, "How on Earth did I ever live without this before?!" I wasn't even using my dust-ridden, old desktop monitor until I bought this. Who needs their iPad or iPod on the go? Give me a bulky computer monitor any day of the week, thank you. And with the insane versatility provided with just this one product, that cheap monitor is now outputting in amazing 3080p. I don't really know how exactly the upscale destroys the old 1080p standard, but it does (must be magnets, or something). Honestly, with how I can push my iPad to the next level, I really think OEM SYSTEMS COMPANY is practically giving this magic box away for free. I maxed all of my credit cards out buying three for myself, one for my dad, and one for my brother; and they don't even have iPads! That's how great this gadget is. Get this thing while you can; who knows how long it will stay at the low, low price of $11k. In fact (and I am being shamelessly honest about myself here) I have simply stopped doing basically everything. I've stopped working, I've stopped eating, I've stopped bathing, I've stopped mating with my wife; Hell, the only reason I even drink a few sips of a plankton and algae slurry is so she will stop sobbing about my life (or lack thereof) and our failed marriage. What is the point of going on? I mean, we live these lives, always waiting for the next big thing, the next way to make our lives better, or easier, or more fun. Well, what happens when something so infinitely revolutionary comes along that erases that stale, old loop? I can say, with 100% confidence, that there is nothing better. This is it: the apex of our species' development. I can't do anything to top this, you can't do anything to top this, no one can do anything to top this, not even our descendants. So, I am going to just kind of lie here, and gaze at my three new White Digital HDMI AV Adapter Converter for iPad iPhone iPod (well two, actually, the other is connected to my 1990's IBM monitor) and just let everything kind of stop around me. Oh, just in case you were wondering, I am only giving this product four stars instead of five because I find it beyond absurd that after paying over $55,000 for five of these wonders, I am still charged around $6 shipping. You would at least think I could get some kind of snail mail rate for free. That is very poor service, if you ask me.

It's not what I specttohave, I need to watch movies from my iPad on my tv and don't work.I return the converter,
