Does what is says. No idea how long the battery lasts, but I bought it as a turntable for 3d scanning and it lasts longer than I'll ever need. The remote is a nice touch.

I also removed the speaker as recommended by another purchaser--the beeping is super annoying. A mute button would be a great addition. Not too hard to take out, used a soldering iron to remove from circuit board. Otherwise, lots of nice features -- control direction & speed of turn, set original position. Quiet motor once the beeping is gone!

Per testing, Can not support 8 pounds item in slow mode….it jagged or stopannoying beep with the remoteonly 3 speeds…not really variable….in slow mode, it’s to fast for some applicationsI don’t recommend…better to pay more and be happy

Description says "Rated for 22 lbs", motor fails to rotate ~15-16 lb load.Otherwise worked fine. Remote is a little finicky - and only works when aimed at one side of the turntable.
