I believe most reviewers are putting the lead piece in the wrong spot. Doesn't the lead piece go between the 2 metal prongs? I think the very pointy steel tip is supposed to stay where it is, right? If so, is that 1 pointy steel tip just for measuring existing angles? I just want to make circles so I placed the lead piece between the 2 clamps, then tightened them all the way. The only problem is that the compass won't fit back into the case without reversing the pencil side back to the way it was shipped.

Came fast and did what it’s supposed to do.

Not well made flimsy and lots of parts not easy to use.

Works well and for a low price

Couldn't figure out how to make the protractor work. Then I noticed from the original picture, mine was not the same. It did not come with lead already loaded (as in the description). It took so long to figure out how to make it right - just not worth it! And unscrewing one of the tiny screws that was on SO tight, needed pliers.
