Should be cheaper
I’ve had a couple of these lights before. It’s a bit of a gimmick but they are useful. They’re pocket sized, they have a spotlight at the end of the arm so you can use it like a normal torch and a floodlight along the arm. The actual hinge system allows you to manipulate the arm into a decent range of positions and the magnet base is strong enough to hold the torch in any angle. Because it’s rechargeable you don’t need batteries but that can be a minus if you run out of power and have to wait for it to recharge. However, you shouldn’t get to that stage if you’re aware of the power level. Obviously the torch has a myriad of uses from workshop to kids plaything. My granddaughter loves to walk round the garden at night with the floodlight on. Who can ask for more?I’ve deducted a star here on the rating. You can buy a pair of these torches (exactly the same) on Amazon for the same price. Someone hasn’t done their sums.

A useful and versatile light
COB Flashlight Magnetic Work LightThis flashlight/work light from Dealbay feels like a quality product as soon as you remove it from the box, made from just the right sort of materials that make it look and feel sturdy. A cable is included in the box for charging from a USB outlet. Power comes from a 2000mAh lithium-ion cell which is replaceable if you wish.Operation of the light is simple as there is only one button to press. One press turns on the torch in one end of the light, a second press turns on the COB LED array on the side. If you press and hold the button, the current light source will slowly dim, another press and hold will make it bright again. This feature could be useful if the light is too bright for the task at hand. Both light sources are housed in a hinged arm that can swing just over 270 degrees, so the light can be pointed virtually anywhere you wish. The base of the light has an inbuilt magnet so it can be attached to any magnetic surface, it also has a hook in case there is nothing magnetic in reach. Next to the button is a row of five small LEDs, these indicate the charge left in the battery. Both lamps provide a decent light output, the torch is quoted at 140 lumens and the COB at 360 lumens. The torch beam is bright without too much spread, the COB LEDs give good, wide coverage to light up an area well.At fifteen quid the COB Flashlight Magnetic Work Light is mid-priced for this kind of light, I would say that represents reasonable value.

A candidate for my new fav worklight
The only thing this is missing is the ability to switch to a red light, which I like on occasion when working at my desk in the evening and I need a sleep-friendly area light. But from a form-factor perspective I really like this light: it's the most compact of other lights like it I own, but has a heft that suggests it has a reasonable battery inside. The only flaw that really bugs me is that the bottom isn't really as flat as it should be. There are times you'd like to use it as a desk light, but the bottom of the torch isn't quite flat enough to allow the torch to stand upright in a stabile fashion when you have the light bar extended out horizontally. If the surface is metal then the magnetic base is enough to make it stable, but otherwise it's kind of wobbly on its own. That's a flaw that keeps this from getting five stars in my view.

Good torch
Good torch, there’s a normal torch and a long led strip as well. The end is magnetic so great for sticking to the car bonnet and looking into engine! Charges quickly and lasts a good few hours. Sturdy design and casing as well

its nice and bright
brilliant little compact led torch/strip light.nice and lightweight and the normal beam offers a good field of view and is fairly bright.switch to the strip light by pressing button twice and you get a amazing wide beam of light.the end is magnetic so is easy to hang on metal surfaces or you can use the clip to hang on a normal hook.ideal for diy, car repairs. or camping as the battery lasts a good while and is quick to recharge via a usb plug
