I really like this pickup
I bought this as a "P90" pickup to replace the cheap pickups in my headless guitar kit. I love how the guitar turned out and playas but was not wild over the pickups. I've always liked how P90 pickups sound and have never had one myself so thought I would go for that for the neck position. I love it. I know it is not a real P90 and is made to fit a humbucker cutout so not wound exactly the same. That said it provides the sound I hoped for. Rich smooth tone somewhere between a humbucker and single coil. I love the richness on clean tones and I'm surprised how good it sounds with distorted tones which is bonus (mainly bought thins with clean tones in mind). Appears to be well built, installed easy and sounds great. Also VERY low noise. Very happy.

Provide a great tonal outout
As a bluesman, tone is number one attribute sought.. sustain is at the top of that requirement, these PU's provide a greater tonal range than standard humbuckers... sustain is 10 times better than original humbuckers that were replaced. they look great too with a better output volume. Value priced, they compete well with higher-priced brand PU's.

Clear and sweet single coil tone
These pickups look great and produce a clear bell-like tone and high signal level.

Good sounding P90 for a great low price
This pick up definitely punches above its weight at this price point. Fairly mellow warm tones without being muddy. I would compare it to a sweet Tele Neck pickup without any muddiness. But it can get a little dirty and distorted too.

Great sound for the price
Wanted some single coils to replace the tired humbuckers in a budget guitar and chose these. Figured for the price I'd get a decent sound but wow was I wrong; I got a great sounding guitar! I purchased these, wired them up Gibson 50's style, plugged them in and was off to the races. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound. Definitely a smart purchase.

Sound good, but not to spec
Went with the Chrome 90v set based on the review who said they sounded like his phat cats. Overall, they sound really good. BUT they dont match the specs for Chrome 90V set. Bridge is 6.7K. Neck is 6.2K. My big issue is the spacing on both is 50mm. I know it doesn't affect tone. but it bothers me. It's almost like a neck pickup from another set was used for the bridge in this set, but the back was stamped with a B, so... I sent a message to the seller, key-tech. They responded within 24 hrs and said (basically) the pickups are what they are and apologized for the description not matching the specs. They also said if I wasn't happy, they would work something out. Bottom line is, they sound really good. But for me, I couldn't get the bridge and the neck to really line up sonically, like they didn't belong together. The neck was really like a bright humbucker. The bridge was almost like a strat bridge with more mids and output but without the icepicky highs.... and NO flub. After playing it awhile, i realized I liked the tone of the bridge more, and it sat in the mix better... So I decided to take the neck pup out and replace it with a strat neck pup (around 6.4K), with a global tone pot and .033 cap. And... with the tone rolled to about 8... perfection. It sounds phenomenal. I can do all the hendrix-y stuff I like... and get all the jangle and snarl i want from the bridge, and the middle position is really nice for funky stuff and clean chording. Hope this helps.

Great P-90 sound! A game-changer!
I loved my 3-pickup guitar, but the back pickup was a humbucker and I wanted a little more of a bluesy sound. This pickup does it perfect for me. Beautiful clean tones, but if you push it, it pushes back! ๐ถ๐

Sound great
I gave these a try and see if I was gonna like p90 style pickups. I was surprised that they sounded great. Seem to be made of quality material. I normally like single coil pickups in my strats, but wanted to try something different and glad I did.

They sound good to me.
Can't give 5 stars because the gold plating is scratched up on my set. I'm not sure you could do better for the price.

Good as gold
Pleasantly surprised, usually splurge when it comes to pickups, but thought Iโd give these a shot based solely on looks. Warm and clear and an upgrade from most stock pickups Iโd say. Only used the bridge as the neck has a smaller pole spacing 50mm (good for Gibson/Gretsch) compared to the 52mm bridge (Fender).
