Beautiful presentation
I enjoyed giving this as a gift very much. It is very beautiful. The quality reads very good. Looking forward to seeing if the recipient compliments the product.

Too many of one kind
Would have been nice to have a more equally divided assortment instead of 4 spaghetti and 1 of others.

The Best
Short of making fresh pasta myself, this is as good as it gets. It’s expensive, but the texture and taste are superb.Might not be an everyday pasta for most people, but if you want to elevate a particular dish to the next level for a date night at home, this is the way.

Bought it for s friend
My friend lived in Italy for years. I didn't think he'd be impressed. He loved it. And... he would have told me if he wasn't.

LOVE this. Makes the perfect gift. Noodles are excellent. 5 stars+++
Upon receiving:This is an "OH!" kind of food gift. I took it out of the Amazon box and there is a brown box with a satin like ribbon. It is beautiful packaging. I remove the bow. The box is a flip top box. I open the box and there is an assortment of noodles. These are made in Italy. There are 8 boxes of noodles. Each different from the other. ONE box of each of the following noodles.TagliatelleLinguineSpaghettiBucatiniCaserecceTritone OplontinoPaccheriRigatoniI chose to make the bucatini. It is one of my favorite noodles. I also know depending on the brand, it can take long to cook it.The directions on the box say 10 minutes.I take the noodles out of the box and I am so impressed. These look like I dried them personally on my pasta drying rack. They are long noodles bent in half where they laid on the rack.At 10 minutes, I check the doneness. They are al dente in that I feel that they need a few minutes if I am to eat them plain. At 10 minutes, I can add it to a sauce and finish the cooking in the sauce. I check again at 12 minutes. This is the perfect al dente to put right on the plate, in my opinion. At 13 minutes, they are slightly softer and perfect for what my husband would like them as.To taste:This has the hollow center of bucatini. It has a wonderful chew to it. They taste like noodles. I cooked it in salted water. The flavor is very good. Better than the average store brand. Is it worth paying more for this set of noodles? MOST DEFINITELY! I don't say this lightly. 8 boxes for fancy noodles that cook in the proper amount of time. They are perfect texture. Perfect flavor. Love them. This is a very easy 5 stars. From receiving the box to opening it to cooking to eating. This has been a pleasure to try. I would definitely consider this as a gift for someone or a special gift for the self!

make good holiday gift
This paste gift set is very well packaged and will make a very good holiday gift to any pasta lovers. The box is very heavy and it's packed inside a very thick sturdy box. Inside the thick sturdy box is another black box with a ribbon around it. Inside the black box are 8 boxes of pasta, each box is about 1lb each so there's enough pasta in each box to make a whole meal for at least 2 people. The pasta looks like freshly made pasta but dehydrated. It's a lot thicker than regular pasta I normally buy at supermarket. When cooked, they have rubbery texture compared to the soft texture from regular pasta. This giftbox is quite pricey but it's very well packaged and the pasta is very high quality. While it's not something I'd pay money to get for myself, I'd definitely get it for a friend who loves authentic pasta.

Beautiful, but not worth the price
It could just be me, but I can't really tell the difference in taste between this luxury-priced pasta and the kind of dried pasta I buy from the store. I made a couple of these - the Tagliatelle and the Spaghetti Oplotini - and was disappointed by both. There really wasn't anything about the taste or texture that wow'd me - it is simply, pasta. In regards to texture, I like thinner-type pastas and all of these are pretty thick. So if you're a Capellini kind of person, you may want to pass. Honestly, if dried pasta is going to cost $7+ per box, it had better blow my socks off and unfortunately, this just doesn't. I'd prefer to shell out a few more bucks and buy fresh pasta in the deli section of my local market. The only thing going for this pasta is that it's beautifully wrapped and says it's from Italy - so it would make a nice addition to a gourmet food basket. Giftable in that way.

Excellent quality pasta that's beautifully packaged; excellent value
I am quite impressed with this pasta gift set. It hits the mark square on with regard to both product quality and presentation. The gift box is packaged by the manufacture in another box for protection. Despite some rough handling in transit, the double box approach provided excellent protection, with zero damage to the pasta. The gift box is upscale, with a shiny gold interior and a coating on the outside that feels almost leathery. It is wrapped with a ribbon, and there's a nice thank you card on the inside. The pasta boxes are packed in perfectly so there's no chance the contents will shift in transit. There is a lot of pasta in this gift set. Each box is 500g (about 1.1 pounds), so the total amount of pasta comes to 4000g (about 8.8 pounds). Unlike other gift sets I've seen where the pasta is in tiny amounts, this is a box for pasta eaters! The pasta itself is excellent. The taste and texture come as close as you can get to fresh pasta in a dried format. In addition to the more familiar shapes (such as Tagliatelle, Linguine, Rigatoni, etc.) there is Tritone Oplontino, which is something I've not seen before. It's a circular pasta that has a trident folded into the inside of the circle. It's quite striking and fun to eat.The pasta is made in Italy. The ingredient list is as simple and clean as it gets: durum wheat semolina and water. The boxes I received in Sept 2022 were produced in July 2022 and have a best by date of July 2025.While gift boxes are always more expensive due to the packaging and presentation, this one -- given the quality of both the pasta and the presentation -- is priced at what I would consider to be an excellent value. An ideal gift for the pasta lover, or something to just get for yourself. An enthusiastic five stars.
