My router is upstairs. The cable goes downstairs to a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet network switch, Ethernet splitter. PC internet speed at bottom 248.97 Mbps without SinLoon Splitter. Using the SinLoon Splitter, the speed dropped to 98.30 Mbps. The SinLoon splitter is well made and solid. But for me not useful when I lose internet speed. My fault I didn't read that it only reaches 100Mb

It's quite frustrating reading the negative reviews - this is not 2 items to be used separately. They work as a pair, with one near your router/hub, and the other near two networked devices. It allows you to run a single cable between the adapters, but it will still use 2 ports of your router. It will not allow you to plug 2 devices into the same port - it exists to stop you needing to run a second network cable across your house.The adapters are quite chunky and solid. The supplied cables are absolutely fine. That just leaves you needing a patch cable for each device you're using. They will connect simultaneously, as they make use of the redundant pairs of wires within the CAT5 standard. I've been using these for a few weeks now with no issues whatsoever.

I completed the type 2 connection for two Poe cameras with one cat 5e cable and did not worked at all. Non of the two cameras connected to two separate NVR inputs worked. It is a very simple connection and I tested all other components and cameras and all appears to be working fine. Could be a fault in the splitters. Not good for me.

These might work to use 2x small intems.I am trying SO HARD to get one of these to work my Playstation and Xbox.Changing the wire it is. I'm not using both at same time.Returned :-(
