Works very well. Great light output. Replaced a 300 watt halogen floor lamp and this one is doing the same job with no heat. I use it as bed side lamp and works well. The lamp mounted on/off switch is in the top of three sections of the pole, which for me should be in the middle section. This lamp comes with a remote and it works well.Only down to the lamp is the switch position and the remote which gets lost in the dark. The remote has a magnet built in that could help wit the lost problem. The problem there is it sits on a round tube with a weak magnet that allows the remote to spin or fall off into my trash can. I found it but it has happened more than once. And easy fix for the manufacture would have next model out have concave back the length of the remote and a little stronger gauss (strength) magnet. The concave back would stop the remote from spinning and the higher gauss from sliding.

Very similar to the lamp I replaced with this. Using LEDs instead of a fluorescent makes for a much softer, comfortable light and the two power levels are fantastic.

For a task light, this is great. Its not meant to light a room, but I turn it to face the wall and quite a bit of light reflects into the room. The full spectrum of light insures colors are true to life for quilters, painters and Knitters, etc. It also helps with my depression. That's just me, I cannot say that this might work for you. It doesn't get hot. I suggest you get one that has a dimmer.

The light throws wonderfully and shows everything as their true color but wow is it BRIGHT. The higher brightness is too bright for reading (reflects off the page) and the dimmer setting is only marginally dimmer. Don't get me wrong -- this gives winter a little bit better of a feel if you are just trying to soak up some light in the early dark, but we don't use this very often because it is crazy bright. Looking at the room from outside when this lamp is on makes it look like we have an illegal grow room. TL/DR: If you want to land a small plane in your house, this is your purchase! Don't look directly at it though because it will turn your eyeballs to dust.

We needed to add a lamp in the living room that would be an additional source of light for reading. This floor lamp is perfect for that. It is described as being 65” tall in upright position. With the top portion being flexible/ adjustable it appears that the 65" height is when the lamp and completely straight. It was too short for some reviewers, but it is perfect what we bought it for. The light is nice and bright, and we loved its design. It is very unassuming and does not conflict with other table lamps and ceiling fixtures we have in the room.

ORIGINALLY I HAD DECIDED ON THE LAVISH LAMP--HOWEVER THEY ONLY HAVE A 30 DAY GUARANTEE VERSUS A 3YEAR GUARANTEE FOR THIS LAMP.I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SOLID CONSTRUCTION OF THIS LAMP WITH THE TWO LIGHT LEVELS.AND THE VERY HEAVY WEIGHTED BASE. I DO NT HESITATE TO GIVE IT THE FIVE STARS IT DESERVES.

Assembled easily, unobtrusive. Has 2 light levels. Most of the time I only need the lower level, even for fine print. Nice to know I have that higher intensity level "in reserve". I also adjust position often, and it has not loosened at any of the joints.

So... this lamp has 2 light "volumes" on a switch... bright and brighter. There is no "dimmer" which I believe is misleading. So far the 2 brightness options are ok for our use. The head (or light tip) is pretty wide... about 6 inches - eyeballing it. The goose neck area is only at the top bend (where you would need it) for about 1 foot length or so. The switch is on the inside of the neck, toward the goose neck. It toggles to the left and right for the 2 brightness options and the middle is "off." The base is "weighted" but not terribly heavy, which is good for me - but if you're expecting a super weight, it is not. The color is a beige really... the goose neck is gray. It is disappointing that they are representing this lamp as a "dimmer" because it is not - thus one star off for misleading info. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
