I love this book and the patterns in it. Some of the patterns seem to have skinny appendages. I would have been nice to have directions as to the type of wood and thickness that woks best for the designs. With that being said mistakes were made, however the final products looked amazing!

At the moment I am just about finishing building my work shop. I am looking forward to using the information and patterns in the book.I am a complete novice with a scroll saw, but buy using each project I believe if and when I get to the end I should have gained a skill.So I think it’s a good purchase.

Good beginners information about safety, tools, materials and finish. It has 24 full-size patterns in the book. However, 7 are just a difference between male and female character and a few more are almost the same.It's a thin, magazine like book with a decent quality. The patterns can be copied (or scanned) easily. That way, you can also choose to enlarge them as much as you like.All the needed information to get you started is stated with each "project". Sizes in metric and imperial. Also, good photos to see what the finished product looks like (or can look like, depending on what colours of wood you use).The packaging is rubbish, Amazon should be bloody ashamed of themselves sending it like this. I wouldn't dare to send a book in such a crappy packaging.If you can find a product you see here locally, I strongly recommend you buying it locally. Better not spent your money trough Amazon, unless you have no other way (like I had in this case).

This is a fun instruction. I liked the subject and the presentation.

I'd admired these designs in many of the woodworking magazines. The designs are simple, which would be great for beginning scroll sawers or people looking for a quick project that will use up scrap wood. I made one of the reader from some scrap poplar that I had and some pieces of thin plywood.

The patterns are very simple, but yet just meaningful and lovely. The pattern of a man and his dog is exactly how my little dog and I would greet each other each time I got home … I pre-ordered a new book from the same author that is scheduled to be published in late May, 2024. It has duplicated pattens of this book, plus 70+ new ones. I can hardly wait. Five stars.
