Thought this would make a neat gift for a friend, here's what he had to say: The map and casing are pretty cool along with the little bag. The red plastic scratch tool just weakens it a bit. Perhaps they could have come out with a chrome or metal tool or even something unique like a tool in the form of an airplane and you use the tail or nose of the plane to scratch off destinations. That would also make for a little additional advertising and there could make other ones too like a car or a man or a woman or a bike etc... I know that may add to the cost but even a plastic figurine would be better than a stick. 4.3/5

I am an avid traveller and have been looking for something like this for a long time. This map is an absolutely beautiful addition to my living room and exactly what I was looking for! I really like that it has all 50 American states and 10 Canadian provinces as well. All the little icons and 190+ country flags at the bottom are a nice touch. The paper feels like quality glossy paper and is quite easy to scratch off. I find that you do need to scratch it gently though with the pen to make sure it doesn’t damage the poster.It comes nicely wrapped in a custom blue gift tube to protect it during shipping with space to write down the name of your recipient if it happens to be a gift. I will be buying this for my friends as gifts in the future. There were no issues with shipping and overall, I would highly recommend this scratch map.

Perfect poster for your living room. It's a talking piece for when guests come over and it's been a great conversation starter talking about where the next destination will be with friends. I was pleased to discover that it includes a lot of major landmarks, lakes, rivers, mountain ranges, etc., making it a great educational tool. The scratcher and felt bag it comes with are a nice touch, and it's easy to scratch along the designated lines (beware, the scratching becomes addictive!). I have a family of travelers, and we’ve had a great time using this map to teach the kids about world geography and different cultures. It’s also been a fun tool for group travel planning, and I have to say, it has me itching for our next big trip so we can scratch a few more countries off the map! The overall design of the product is appealing and the kids love having it in their room.

Got it for Christmas so have not seen it yet.
