So, you think you know Led Zeppelin??? You have no idea...
I really didn't want to be the first person to review this book, but here it goes...as you already guessed it I am an incredibly huge fan of Led Zeppelin for nearly 2 years now and I had came across this book by accident, only about a couple of weeks ago. I didn't even know anything about this book, which is strange. I was in the search for more Zep "stuff," anyways and I came across this book about the band, which was interesting because they authorized this book and what's even better about this book was that they used their own words. And the crazy thing about it is was released in Nov. 2014. This book is quite fascinating. I am DEEPLY in love with this band. I was only half-way through the book and now I am finished, and I must say there are a lot of information about Led Zeppelin that are in this book, that was never mentioned before. I don't want to spoil any details because if you are a "Zep" head you would want to read the book to find out what I am talking about. There are so many interviews and stories that Jimmy, Jonesy, Bonzo, and of course Robert tells that seems kind of hard to disregard. I had a hard time understanding some of their English humor because I'm not from England, but their stories are quite the eye opener. For instance, in the beginning of the book, Robert tells a short story about how he was "smacked" in the face for having long hair. I mean, I was pretty shocked. And something Jimmy had mentioned about almost being drafted in the army by the U.S government, for almost over staying their welcome during their first U.S tour. Like I said before, I don't want to spoil all the details. JUST BUY THE BOOK!! There are a lot of juicy facts in this book that will have you scratching your head. This band has been through hell and high water to be accepted by the critics, and I had pitied them throughout the book. The critics loathed them while they loathed the critics. The interviews alone stood out the most, especially the ones with Robert. He can be serious and quite humorous. That man tickled me throughout the book. He has a sort of personality that makes you want to know him even more. And he has a fascination with Geritol...lol. Just kidding, Robert!;) OH, AND PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE INTERVIEW FROM AUSTRALIA: ROBERT AND JIMMY JOKES ON THE RADIO STATION AND ARE FASCINATED ABOUT SOME OLD VINYL RECORDS IN BETWEEN BEING INTERVIEWED...IT'S REALLY QUITE HILARIOUS!! It's a very long interview, but they will most definitely make you laugh out loud. They're kind of hard to ignore. They both seem to be quite the characters. They are all quite articulate, intelligent and very candid individuals. I really did enjoy this book. I highly recommend this book to any Led Zep fan!!!:):):)#LONGLIVELEDZEPPELIN<3

Perfect story,
Perfect story,,,until you get to the part about John Bonham,i still, like millions of others, believe they should have got back together like heaps of other bands have after having lost one of their members,i'm sure 'Bonzo' would have wanted it that way, especially with his son Jason taking his drum stool.

The mighty Led Zeppelin, in their own words
Great read, even for me, a Zeppelin fan from the very beginning (saw them 12 times). Though there is little from John Bonham and John Paul Jones in the book, the interviews go back to the very beginning. Through the various interviews, Jimmy Page explained his vision for Led Zeppelin, not only the music, but the performances as well. A book well worth reading for anyone who considers themself a big Zeppelin fan.

A pleased Zep fan
Great book for Zeppelin fans. Love the bands humor and perspective at the time. I like the fact that the interviews are dated and placed.

Enlightening read.
As a Led Zep fan since I was 12 in the mid seventies, I found this a great read. Basically it is a series of interviews with each of the members of the band throughout the years. As its straight from the horses mouth, so to speak, theres nothing to critisise. An enlightening, fascinating and at times rather humorous read. I can't see any rock music fan not liking this.. especially if you are a LZ fan.. but even if you're not!
