at Shifter Switch with Screw Compatible with 2013-2014 Mazda CX-5 2014 Mazda 6 Replace# KDY0-46-040

This seems to be a decent-quality switch, and it was an exact replacement (except that the original part had the design flaw of the rubber tip (that falls apart) on the "park" sensor switch. The part came without lubrication, so I lubricated with silicone contact grease. It was an easy replacement job. There are some good videos on Youtube that show how to disassemble the center console, and it was not difficult. With a bit of care, I didn't break any little tabs. The job took about 45 min. Bottom line: My ignition shuts off completely now. The mystery problem has been solved, and I'm happy.

This was a huge time saver and a great replacement part for those looking to make turning off your Mazda 6 a no-brainer once again. It was getting to the point where I didn't want family members to drive my Mazda 6 because of the hassle and steps needed to turn it off. This replacement part is an easy do it yourself project when you look it up the replacement steps on youtube and will make you smile when you turn the car off and it actually turns off without having to re-start, tap the the shifter 4-5 times and turn off again...highly recommended!

Excellent with this part and 20 minutes of my time I was able to solve the problem of my radio turning off for a 2013 Mazda CX5.

right when I bought the 2014 Mazda Cx-5 grand touring i had a message say fix “shift in P” error. around three days ago. I noticed my accessories didn’t go off like my radio and clock. this is a very good part for your 2014 Mazda Cx-5 grand touring. I watched around 3 to 4 with YouTube videos. It’s very important that you watch enough videos so you can take bits and pieces from each. avoid unnecessary breaking of car. Which easens your process. It took me around 7 to 8 hours as an all day job. This piece was only around 20$ dollars and the labor is free. Whereas if you got the Mazda dealer you had to pay for labor around 500$ and the piece around 300$ running you around 800$. Fix your park 2014 Mazda Cx-5 Switch. Fix it and tighten up well then it will turn off everything off.

If you are considering buying this then the issues needs no explanation. This part worked perfectly for my 2014, 6.The overall removal installation for didnt require any special tools except the following- molding specific tools to not damage molding- screwdriver bit to turn by hand- needle nose pliers for disconnecting the actual coupling for the broken part.Search for some YouTube videos on this. I found JB_auto video to be short and sweet on what the disassembly looks like.Pro tip: Mind the spring piece once molding is removed. This set me back another 10 mins from a 30 minute job trying to find it. Be careful when removing.
