Great value! Smooth movement and tight hold
The media could not be loaded. This is a really nicely designed and constructed ball head for the price! So much better than the sub-$10 cheap ones. All the mechanical pieces move smoothly and there are a few things that stood out to me:- The ball joint has a plastic liner between the metal ball and metal shell, so once it's loosened you get a nice smooth movement without any grinding or stickiness- The knob to tighen/loosen uses a thrust bearing! (See photo). If you're not a mechanical engineer, the thrust bearing basically avoids metal-on-metal grinding/sliding when you really tighten down the knob, so it's not going to get stuck no matter how hard you tighen it. I was blown away when I noticed it - you don't typically see attention to details like that on relatively cheap hardware- The knob has a spring-loaded rotation feature - if the knob happens to be sticking out and getting in the way once you've tightened it, you can pull it out, rotate it in 60 degree increments and let go to tuck it away (see video). Again, really nice attention to detail!Build quality is excellent. The only thing that's a minor negative is the included arca swiss plate; it's a little cheap feeling compared to the rest of the ball head and it doesn't have a finger ring on the 1/4" thumbscrew, so you really need a coin/screwdriver to tighten it into your camera securely (I also wish the rubber on the top was textured for better grip and to prevent it from rotating). But It's still a perfectly functional arca swiss plate, so I can't complain and it's certainly not bad enough that I'd take a star away for it.

Good Value for What it Is
I use this on a lightweight travel tripod. I got it because of the low profile, which lets me fit the tripod with ballhead attached in a little case that the tripod came with. A taller ballhead would not fit. This is a basic ballhead with any special features, and it is lacking a safety lock when releasing the plate. I have much beefier and better made ballheads for my bigger tripods. However, I have found this perfectly functional and use it for outdoor photography when I need to use a travel tripod with my camera and a lighweight lens for a long exposure. It's much better (and maybe less expensive) than many of the ballheads that manufacturers try to sell as part of a kit with their travel tripods.

Near Perfect!
Near Perfect! running this on a bog pod deathgrip to support a custom chassis m77 Hawkeye in 338wm. not sure total weight of the rifle but its on the heavy side and this ball head locks it down like it weights nothing. ill be buying another for my other deathgirp soon.if i could change anything (not that it needs to be) the leaver that locks out the ball head is in my opinion a bit small. i would like a knob that's a bit bigger but that's a preference not a flaw

Excellent Quality
Very well engineered- smooth, solid, excellent bargain for a ball head of this quality.

Solid and smooth
This ball head checks all the boxes: build quality, value, smoothness, compact design. Perfect balance of build and price. I used for my star tracker where I needed compactness but still didn’t want to get a cheap ballhead.

Different shaped knobs for different functions!
Great ball head with intuitive controls. Having different shaped knobs for different functions is a design principle figured out during WWII to save pilots' lives. It's a concept that is lost on most consumer products. This one has it figured out though. A lever for ball movement versus a round knob for pan movement. You're never going to accidentally dump your camera with this one
