VERY DISAPPOINTED.
1.- The crystal base of my hud arrived at home damaged. I hope it will resist because there is no more accessories in the Internet (included this seller).2.- Each time NAVDY speaks makes my car ends the phrase spoken the sentence "call ended". I.E.- "Turn on the right" (NAVDY using my speakers) "call ended" (a return of my car by my speakers)3.- An after 2 weeks it does not work anymore. I request a replacement and I received a second hand device without some pieces:suction base, tall stem and medium stem... VERY DISAPPOINTED.4.- Yes, the NAVDY was a dream but a very short one.

Reduced to ONLY 2 STARS.... 1st LIVE and REAL reviewed from a verified independent amazon customer
[IMPORTANT UPDATE (CORRECTED): Driver safety]I'm somewhat concerned by the speed information displayed on the 'Heads-up', I am now 99% certain its using GPS speed, rather than speedo speed, why am I so concerned by this, when some might say the GPS speed is perhaps more accurate ? the reason is that the speedo speed is usually MORE than your actual speed, which gives a margin of safety for both the driver and other road users and pedestrians. This is built into all cars/vehicles and has been so forever.I think the navdy team needs to consider the human factors of road safety more than the technologyThis can be fixed with technology, lets have a calibrate to speedo/vehicle feature, if its already in the product, appologies[UPDATE: Reduced from 3 to 2 STARS]Usually I put my updates at the bottom, but for this I'm going to put at the top, given its critical to the product, why?Essentially unless there is a fault with my 20/20 vision, there is a design flaw in the 'Heads-up' technology in this product, or perhaps its a fundamental flaw in something.....Ok, so went for a longer drive today, which forced me to drive more naturally e.g watch the road !When the eye is focused at the natural road ahead the heads-up goes double vision, obscuring too much of the road ahead, plus makes it difficult to read !! If I close one eye, all good, but I don't recommend driving with one eye for this product !!!So all the 'screen shots' are accurate and I can vouch, that's also what they look like, but only when the eye is focused on the screen and NOT THE ROAD....[Main Review]So, I ordered this with a mixture of excitement, but also scepticism...... reasons:- price, very high, but yet already discounted by £100- all amazon reviews were not verified purchases, yet they tried to imply they wereSo what did I want from this product?- Most importantly, driving safety- Primarily, my drivers dashboard information 'heads-up' e.g Speed, RPM, trip etc etc- Secondary, nav information- Finally as an experiment the 'smart' stuff, like notifications etcAdditional aspects I was interested in:- the gesture controls- the ODB integration and car data use- playing my musicAs always the delivery was very prompt, amazon logistics is second to none ! Love amazon !!So how does the product rate.... so initially I was thinking the product was a 2-2.5 Stars, but then I found the firmware upgrade option... that unlocked aspects of the product, that took it to a 3-3.5 Stars.UNBOXING- A very nice experience- Everything in a clear and logical place- Every option seems to be allowed for- A nice surprise was the action button and dial !- A disappointment was no case for the Navdy unit !!INSTALLATION- Key to this seems to be the type of dashboard, my Audi seemed the standard type, so didn't need any of the optional mount brackets. But later this will prove to be an issue- Getting the mounting pad level, took 3 attempts... even now i'm not totally happy- The power comes from ODB port, which is really nice, a surprise more in-car kid doesn't take advantage of this (for power)- The cable length and mounting options and items provided were excellentSETUP- Following the nice and clear on-screen displays, I downloaded the app (onto my iPhone 5SE), paired the button/dial, all very nice and easy, clear instructions- I had to allow lots of stuff to have access to my phone, all fine, made sense- The app asked form confirmation on the installation position, unfortunately, while I considered I had a standard dash, using the standard mount, given the diagrams, the Navdy unit was sitting too high and blocking the windscreen too much (asked me to contact customer support !)..... to continue I had to just say it was ok, this flags the 1st Major issue, obscuring the windscreen, ill come back to this later....USAGE (After firmware upgrade Inc button/dial)Note: the firmware upgrade took ages to transfer from phone to navdy and then button, no major issue, as it's an infrequent task- the screen clarify is very clear- the screen size is ok, if rather smaller than I imagined, but certainly adequate- the button/dial is very nice indeed, perfect for use, while driving- the user-interface is adequate- the gesture controls are no good, I'll come back to this later...So back to my original 'what did I want from this product'- Driver safety : the size and position of this unit, I feel, compromises this, in my view needlessly, I'll come back to this....- 'Heads-up' information : certainly the 'dash view' looks great, but and it's a big but, what information is it using,> Speed, I would have assumed this was live from the cars ODB port, but I think it's using GPS, as it doesn't tally with dashboard speedo, plus there is a delay !> RPM, must be ODB, but the delay is very poor> all other info seems fine and using the dial, you can show additional info in the right pane- Nav information, seems adequate, more drives needed to give a full review on this point- 'Smart stuff', seems ok, but I have real doubts, about having this on 'heads-up' so do the creators I think, as the app, does warn the user about enabling this feature- Gesture control, I'll come back to this- ODB integration, I think i'm disappointed by the limited amount this offers, yep probably a limitation of both the ODB and product, but combined, its less than adequate- Playing music, unfortunately, this product only supports Apple Music, leaving those of us using Amazon Music, Spotify, Napster out in the coldSo back to the gesture control, this in my view is the root cause of the following issues:- unit size and position on dashboard : Driver Safety- implementation of a distracting feature, which is completely superfluous given the excellent button/dial : Driver Safety, but can be avoided using button/dial- sketchy reliability of the featureWithout the gesture control, I feel this could be both a better product, cheaper product and smaller product. Also give the goal of this product is to 'smart-up' and enhance safety, I would integrate a dash cam into the product next time. Finally, I would like to address a security matter, in the same way as drivers are encouraged to remove their sat-nav, if not from the vehicle, but certainly out of sight. Unfortunately for all the effort made in the unboxing and nice packaging, the money would have been better spent on a soft case, that the expensive Navdy could be put into when not mountedI hope this is helpful to both future buyers and the product creators, if the creators would like to get in touch, drop me a message/replyThanks for reading :-)

The best sat nav out there.
Really great device. I just returned from a 2000 mile round trip from the UK to Poland using the Navdy, this is by far the best navigation interface for driving. Far safer to look at the Navdy than to look at the TomTom on my head unit. Been able to control the music from the dial, browse albums and playlist is also fantastic as everything I used to have to do from my phone or head unit I can do from the Navdy with the dial.Very impressive packaging and installation instructions. I installed in a 2008 Saab 9-3, only the low profile mount would physically fit in the available space, but the angle was so steep that I needed to get some modelling clay to make it flat under the unit, then the low profile mount installed flat and now is perfectly positioned.I have had my Navdy about 2 weeks now and have had one major software update that added some new features and some minor updates have been issued which is encouraging. The focus is shorter than I hoped for, you have to focus shorter than the road to see the display but you get used to this in no time and compared to looking at the head unit for navigation there's no comparison in safety and speed. The only issues I had were with the software so that's why I didn't give it 5 stars:1) when in map mode you only find out the speed limit when you exceed it, I would like to see the limit before I go over.2) some of the speed limits for roads were incorrect, and the speed warnings are very annoying when you don't slow down.3) I went from UK to Poland using the Navday and my TomTom, the Navdy kept finding routes that were longer in distance and time than the TomTom. When I would get halfway or further on a route Navdy would then find a shorter route which would then match the TomTom, not a problem but when you start a 600km leg the ETA is an hour longer than it will actually take.4) When my phone is not playing music, the speed limit warning plays through my Parrot Bluetooth car kit, but it also makes a phone call to myself each time, if I play music it works as expected. These are all issues I can live with the way the navigation is presented makes this the best sat nav bar none. The traffic overlay is great for seeing hoe long the hold up is for and what's coming up. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested, you can control your music, read messages legally and safely. Great device.

Brilliant and it's only getting better.
Had my Navdy since January and the improvements in the user interface make it better and every time you get update it gets better, and the dial is a good send the iOS app helps and is easy to use.
