Tefal Toast and Egg Two Slice Toaster and Egg Maker, 1200 W - Black [Energy Class A]

I'm an absolute perfectionist when it comes to eggs, I love the perfect boiled, poached, and scrambled.Whilst the Tefal doesn't let you make the perfect poached or scrambled egg, it will greatly increase the consistency and repeatability of your poaching and boiling. The reason for this is that it uses precise water measurements to determine the exact time to steam cook your poached or boiled eggs. You add water to the bottom element, add your eggs (optionally you can also add other foods to steam), press go, and leave it. The unit stops itself when the water has completely run dry. Handily, the toast also pops up at this point too. The whole lot is ready in about 5 minutes flat, including prep time. This makes eating poached eggs on a daily basis an achievable goal even in the modern age!All you need to do for the almost-perfect eggs is: buy consistently (the freshness of an egg is a huge variable in itself) and measure accurately.I say 'almost-perfect' because the poached egg comes out in a more 'Egg McMuffin' (i.e. a slab of egg) shape than it does the perfect poached. Some may love this egg slab, as it fits a muffin beautifully, but lovers of the spherical, hand-shaped poached egg may not. As for me, the benefit of a daily poached egg without the mess that takes such a long time to clean far outweigh the shape issue.To be clear, the Tefal Toast N' Egg will make either ONE poached egg at a time, or, more socially, FOUR boiled eggs in one go; each (optionally) in parallel with two slices of toast and/or other vegetables or cooked meats. That's rather a lot of food to heat/cook in about 5 minutes. Scrambled egg is also available, but frankly the mini-pan is too small for anything decent on that front, in my opinion.You will need to experiment with water measures on the first few goes, as the markings provided on the mini water measuring jug are suitable for very fresh eggs only, and these days it's not so easy to get such fresh eggs all the time.The mini measuring jug, which others have noted is difficult to read, also helpfully has an egg piercer on the bottom of it. (Personally I don't have a problem reading the markings.)Frankly, my budget for a toaster was around £[], and so this upgrade was well worth it, and it doesn't take up too much more real estate on the kitchen surface as would a normal 2 slice toaster.It's very easy to clean, especially if you compare the cleaning required to make boiled or poached eggs.Don't forget to buy some spray-on olive oil if you plan to use the pan for poached eggs.

I bought this for myself last year after my previous toaster,...just an old toaster broke,I have a bit of a routine where everyday around anytime I fancy, I love a poached egg on toast, this was alway's previously achieved through greasing a ramekin with butter, and very carefully on as few seconds and lowest heat possible microwaving....with endless EGGS'PLOSIONS (sorry ;-) within the microwave,many egg's wasted and cold toast by the time I produced my poached egg, I've no time for faffing about boiling water in a pan,whisking to create a whirlpool then coddling my egg in messy vinegar added, liquid concoction...I LIKE MY EGG AND TOAST...TOGETHER!And,as it was proved to be perfect purchase by me,for me,!! quickly gaining approval with my daughter, and her partner who frequently ring/text to tell me to get their's on ready, they'll be knocking my door any second!!!Lovely poached egg's though the water guide is better suited to a large egg, not a small or medium, and boiled egg's are a breeze,soft or hard,...toast can be a bit unpredictable,sometime's darker on the one side...but it's all in all, a great little machine,Perfect item, only downside I have found is, it doesn't poach more than one egg at a time,(so I'm greedy) the little pan does need greasing for easy removal of egg...oh, and the measuring beaker need's clearer markings for those with challenged eyesight ,Tefal really should come up with a better solution for this...I have to hold it up to daylight to see the measure...and I have very good eyesight!!Suffice to say, it is one of my better purchase's, am now getting one for Mother, and Daughter and Son....though his will be the one for beans too...but a brilliant little buy for a student,elderly relative,single man/woman...much less fuss,quick,clean,easy,and mostly reliable..and make's lovely poached egg on toast,mmmmm.

Etant en l'internat je ne dispose pas d'une cuisine, donc pouvoir enfin se faire de vrais petits déjeuner (pas besoin de frigo pour les oeufs!) ça change la vie ! Voici une semaine que je m'en sers tous les jours, il faut faire attention a bien suivre les instructions pour la premiere utilisation et adapter les durées de cuisson, puis ça devient vite simple.J'ai pu tester : une omelette avec 2 oeufs (oui ça rentre, mais tout juste !) , un oeuf poché et deux oeufs durs (possibilité d'en mettre 4 à la fois). Les résultats sont bons pour les 3!À noter que j'ai reçu l'article avec une prise anglaise et un manuel en anglais (ce qui parait normal puisque c'est noté dans le titre), donc prévoir un adaptateur, et quelques minutes de traduction :) (il y a beaucoup d'images donc ce n'est pas difficile à comprendre)Je suis très satisfaite du produit donc je mets 4 étoiles pour l'instant, 5 si il s'avère durable.

Für unseren deutschen Markt nicht geeignet, da ein für unsere Steckdosen nicht der richtige Stromstecker geliefert wird.Den richtigen Stromanschluss selbst montiert und nach ca. 1. Monat funktionierte der An- Aus Schalter nicht mehr.Für mich ein Grund solche Produkte nicht mehr bei Amazon zu kaufen, da auch kein Hinweis auf falschen Stromanschluss in Beschreibung genannt wurde.

le produit vient de UK, il n'y a pas d'adaptateur pour la prise dans la boite....achat a prévoir en plus.La notice n'est pas en français non plus....si vous ne comprenez pas l'anglais, c'est mort!Le grille pain fait son job mais on a fini par faire cuire l'oeuf au plat dans une poêle.... beaucoup trop long!!!!!!Je ne prévoit meme pas de faire des oeufs à la coque...autant se lever 2heures avant.Je regrette.
