Perfect for helping exposure
No issues with this, helps me keep my settings at the ideal point for videos without killing exposure, good screw into lenses and extremely thin

Variable ND filter
Easy to install. I use it on a kit lense 18-200 Tamron. The photo was taken with 10 sec, aperture 6.3, 20mm on a canon 1300d. Raw developed in darktable, finished in Gimp. I'm bloody beginner in DSLR and raw and absolutely pleased with that filter. Package contents 3 separate packed microfiber cloths. Unfortunately lens hood and lens cap cannot being used if the filter is attached.

The Good, The Bad, Worth it?
The media could not be loaded. Kit - Nikon D850 / Nikon 28-300.The packaging was great, the box was great, it was in a plastic container in a box in packaging. Great security around it. I tested it out late sunset (that's when I received it) and I can say that the image quality does seem to fade slightly, baring in mind, I am shooting with 45 megapixels. The adjustment on the filter is stiff and smooth, which is a great feeling when adjusting between filter strengths. As you can see in the images, the lighter ones are without the filter and the darker ones are with the filter. So far so good, but I did find 1 issue that is more annoying than anything and I believe it should be fixed and replaced by the company, you cannot put your lens cap on it. The lens cap is too small for it, which is a bit bizzare considering it's supposed to be a 77mm and no word of it being wider on the outside. P.S. it fits the lens perfectly. So that's the only let down to the filter. On a bright sunny day you could keep that filter on and not worry too much about not getting enough light considering it is adjustable. In the video, you can see the filter changing as I turn the ring to darken it, then after that first clip, you can see me putting the lens cap on with the slightest click, but not enough to hold it on. It would fall off with a slight nudge to it.I will be taking it out again and testing it on waterfalls, I will try and update my review on my experience with images.

Well constructed and great value for money
I have been taking photographs since the mid 1970s and over the years have gone through my fair share of filters, square, round and even homemade. This K&F filter comes well packaged in a sturdy plastic box which a foam insert designed to securely hold the filter whilst being transported. The insert has recessed finger holes for very easy removal of the filter even with cold fingers. On picking up the filter the first thing you notice is how sturdy it is and how velvety smooth the movement when you twist the outer ring. I have purchased lower-priced filters before and sometimes been very disappointed in the mechanical construction but not this time as it is on a par with many more expensive filters in my collection.I purchased this to use on my Nikon lenses when shooting video. My normal choice of filter is the square system but at present for video use these screw-in ND faders are by far the best option for my money. One of the first acid tests for any filter is how well it attaches to the front of the lens and this one did not disappoint. Straight on, first time with no fuss or fumble. The filter rim sits proud on a Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 making the outer ring very easy to grip when adjusting the strength of the ND filter. This is a relatively slimline filter and as with other slimline filters I have used the lens cap does not feel very secure attached to the front but this is not an issue with this type of lens as I only have it attached whilst I’m actually using the camera.Whilst I have not had the chance yet to try the filter in all conditions my early conclusions are very positive. Physically using the filter is very pleasant because of the smoothness of operation and there are handy markings around the rim of the filter showing maximum and minimum positions. On a dull day like today, shooting with a Neutral picture style I found the images taken with the filter lacked just a little contrast compared to those with no filter. I doubt that it would be as noticeable on a bright, sunny day (when to be fair an ND fader is more likely to be needed) but in the event it was not a major issue as I simply tweaked the contrast up a notch or two and created a custom picture style which worked a treat. As soon as we do get a bright, sunny day I will test the filters again and if my assumption regarding contrast proves wrong I will post an update below. However, with a 1,500 mile wide storm due to batter the Uk over the weekend don’t hold your breath!I have other K&F products in my kit bag, including lens adapters, and would not hesitate to purchase this brand in the future. On my personal experience to date they are well constructed and represent very good value for money. This filter represents incredible value for money and the small niggle with reduced contrast in dull conditions does not give me a reason to reduce the star rating. Had I paid around the £100 mark for the filter then all other things being equal I would certainly be dropping one star but at this price point that is just being curmudgeonly. Please note that whilst I have reviewed the 77mm version here I have also purchased a 67mm version too for use with a Samyang 12mm lens on a Fuji X-T10.

Very well made and fits OK
Not quite what I wanted I was after a full polaroid filter rather than a graduated filter -- Nevertheless it will still be a very useful filter

Excellent Quality ND Filter for Professional Results
This ND filter is a fantastic addition to my photography gear! Made from high-quality AGC optical glass with 8 multi-layer coatings, it really reduces reflections and glare, resulting in crystal-clear images. The 1-9 stop light adjustment is incredibly versatile, perfect for everything from bright daylight shots to more controlled, low-light scenes. The 360-degree rotation offers precise control over the light reduction, although, at the highest stops, I did notice a faint cross-pattern ("X" effect), which is typical for adjustable ND filters on some lenses. The filter itself is sleek and slim, just 7.4mm thick, and the CNC-patterned edge provides great grip, making it super easy to attach or adjust quickly. I love the anti-glare finish, which minimizes stray reflections, especially in challenging lighting. One thing to note: you’ll need a 55mm lens cap for this 52mm filter, but that’s easy to work around.Overall, it’s an impressive ND filter with outstanding performance and durability. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their outdoor and landscape photography!
