AROMA AEG-3 GT EQ Analog 5-Band Equalizer Electric Guitar Effect Pedal Mini Single Effect with True Bypass

Sound: amazing! Faders: fiddly.
I bought this pedal with the intention of using it pre-amplifier to mould my guitar input tone, and I am so impressed with the frequency bands! A perfect selection to bring out (or take away) the characteristics of an electric guitar. My favourite is the 4th fader, really focusses on the pick-attack and gives an insanely aggressive tone for extreme metal players like myself. Cut the first couple of faders a bit and you lose the muddiness in your distorted tone, giving more headroom and relieving that squashed out fuzz that can be unpleasant.Anyway that's enough worship about the sound lol, I do find the faders to be really rather fiddly. The bands are supposed to be able to be adjusted by ±18dB, but most of the way they hardly seem to change, my favourite 4th fader is almost right at the top because that is where the change appears to start, it isn't maxed out though because that is far too much, but there isn't much play to find that sweet spot. I did after quite a while and have made a little protector for the settings because they were a pain to get right, but now that it is, it sits proudly on my pedal board bringing out that aggression my other EQ didn't seem to hit. That one is now my FX-loop tone shaper, works well there but didn't do pre-amp so well.

IT looks good, and sound decent
This pedal is "ok". IT looks good, and sound decent. It is rather noisy though - even with the level all the way down. The alignment of the controls are not great and feel somewhat flimsy. All said and done, this pedal is sub £20... so all in all I think it is ok.

Great Value Compact Pedal
Fantastic pedal, especially at the low price I paid. Not owning another equalizer, it's hard for me to compare to other brands but the build quality and sound is amazing. It's a nice compact solid feeling metallic design with an attractive colour scheme and is very pleasing to handle. Power is via a centre negative adaptor (not supplied). There are a good range of sounds to be obtained especially at the bass and treble ends and everything in between. The only other controls are a level and the true bypass on off switch. It also comes in a nice box with a set of instructions and a sticker! Very happy with my purchase.

Good price. But through a chain, noise is added.

I've bought other Tomsline pedals in the past which have been a hands down incredible... The GT EQ on the other hand (or at least the one I received) is dreadful and on it's way back to Amazon. The faders do nothing until they reach the final 5% of their throw and even then there is only 2-3Db of attenuation at most... not the 18 suggested on the pedal itself. Hugely dissapointing.

Bought this but never use it,its not very noticeable as an EQ pedal , it makes the amp sound louder/quieter , not worth the buy

it is cheap and does the job, and sounds. I have not tried the "wider" eq but this one was enough to make Orange Dark Terror something more versatile.

No brainier
Great thing. I use it for a treble boost or for when I switch between a Les Paul and a strat
