Lovely to Knit With
The knitting end of the pins are beautiful to knit with - so smooth and warm to the touch, not like metal needles. The nylon cord, however, constantly wraps itself back into loops while you knit, that makes it awkward to feed your stitches onto the needle points. I’m treating it as a challenge!

SHOULD OF GOT THEM SOONER
I must admit I did look at these needles for a long time before actually purchasing them, primarily because I could not decide if they were worth the money or not. A lot of people rave about these and a lot of people also do not like them!I decided to take the plunge and only wish I had done so sooner!!!These are beautiful needles, super super smooth, much smoother than I imagined them to be, and smoother than they look in the photographs. The colours are stunning and they are such a joy to knit with! They are not heavy and cumbersome, and my stitches just glide along the needles and cable unhindered. The join between needle tips and cable is perfect, nothing for stitches to snag on, and the join gently tapers off to the cable.Joining and changing cables is simple, screw on and tighten up using the cable key, I found a couple of times the screwing on was a bit tricky (the needle and cable threads were too tight) so I simply swapped the end of the cable I was trying to attach to the needle point and this sorted it out, I think its the cable screws that cause this and not the needles themselves. The cables are very flexible and do not kink up, lots of other sizes are available separately too which are inexpensive, and also handy to store knitting on.A truly lovely set, beautiful even, to take care of for many knitting years to come, I just wish the case was nicer than the cheap bit of plastic that it is.100% recommended, if you are undecided, than please don't be, these are SO worth it!

To set or not to set(tle) - quality ?
When these first arrived, I (Fred’s wife btw) was convinced I had been sent a fake! The metal on the needles was dull and seemed dirty. See first 2 photos. As I stood there trying to clean & polish the connectors (unsuccessfully), I thought I must be mad; I had only just bought these! So, I ordered a another (individual) 9 mm needle from Knitpro as the Amazon seller, just to have a comparison with a genuine needle. This got lost in the mail, a replacement finally arrived three weeks later. Well, I’m still not convinced I have genuine Knitpro needles in the set, as there are big differences between a chunky set needle and an individual needle of the same diameter; The metal, the tip, the legibility of the size labels - either Knitpro have these set components made elsewhere or it contains seconds ... I can’t say. I’m still not sure what I’ve been sent, whether it is genuine or not - it all seems substandard, right down to the cable packages missing their length stickers - nothing seems quite as it usually is. However, you will have to decide for yourself whether you’re happy with sub-standard Knitpro gear for the sake of the cheaper price / or the pointier tip - or whether you want the nice individual, polished & labelled variant at a surcharge.

Beautiful to handle and use.
I bought some cheap circular needles to try them, it's been years since I knitted with intent and much has changed physically for me in those intervening years. After a few frustrating days (don't buy Lion Brand thick and quick rippled yarn unless you are using tree trunks for needles) I decided to invest in these KnitPro. I was aware of the brand and have always loved the colours so I bought this set and am very pleased. The yarn moves better over the needles and the join to the cable, I am managing the yarn better using the 9mm pair so the whole process is much more pleasurable. They are beautifully made and the range of combinations with cable lengths is going to be very useful. I have ordered a full set of the smaller needles from Woolstack who currently have them at £45.

Joyful click-clackers
Absolutely beautiful needles. I’ve just made the switch to circulars, even when knitting back and forth, and they’re particularly helpful with larger sized needles when the work can get a bit bulky. Stitches glide over these needles, making it easier to maintain tension and they make a glorious click-clacking noise. They have sharp points which makes it easier to ‘knit on the tips’ which is also helpful with bulky yarn.I bought the KnitPro Zing set of smaller circular needles and they are lovely, but the set of smaller Symphonies might have to go on my wishlist for things I don’t need but really, really want. The packaging included an unnecessary plastic bag over the plastic wallet but at least they were sent in an envelope rather than a large box with filling.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these needles.

Lovely quality
Great quality needles, easy to use. Important to use the locking key that comes with them to attach the cables. I tied mine in by hand and they kept detaching but fine once I used the key. I would have also liked them to be about 1cm longer, but a great set of needles.
