The material size required for this project is 1282mm wide x 290mm deep.

Is it suitable to put on a standard or floor lamp base

Yes of course, this item is definately suitable for use on a standard or floor lamp. Whilst these look better on a floor lamp of a similar diameter base, if your base is smaller, we wouldn't recommned going much lower than a 30cm diameter base, to ensure the lamp is not too top heavy, and prone to falling over if knocked.

My tool for edges was missing....only just got round to opening box to do

Use an old credit card, the tools are rubbish and break anyway.
