G.F. Solar Swimming Pool Heater Pod

Not sure how efficient this would work on its own, but in conjunction with a solar over and a bit of effort from me to retain the het at night, I got the pool to 29 deg.

I bought one a few years ago coupled up to 6 x3 poola waste of time did not make any differenceI suppose it would work in a hot country but then you would not need itif you notice on the selling spec there is no out put stated that should start alarm bells'mine ended up in the shed for a year then the binI should have gave the money to charityso do not buy

it is on where as good as the solar pod i wish i had got two solar pod as i know they work well

I bought this to heat a 10 foot easy set pool. It says on the packaging that it heats up to 15 feet pools by up to 5 degrees celcius. Well it doesn't work, no difference in pool temperature whatsoever, even on warm sunny days! It gets worse as if you use it on anything other than sunshine (and I mean no clouds at all) it actually may draw heat out of the pool. I spent £90 on mine and it is a complete rip off. Don't buy this unless you live somewhere like in Las Vegas or somewhere unspeakably hot, but then, in that case, you probably won't need one of these anyway.

what a product

i was not sure these would work but they do, we have a large childrens play pool about 10ft and it kept this warm enough for the kids allthrough the summer.now that summer is over we have connected the pod heater to a hose and use it to spray our family dog after his walk. great product idea as it cost nothing to run

An insulated cover and floating plastic sheets in the pool works much, much better. It also save the problems of the leaks that start to occur in the second and third year. I guess that hose pipe they use does not like sunlight!

have two of these bought in 2012. Spent 200 on both. Tried to get refund because they did not work. Had to buy a cheap above ground pool heater and immediately noticed the difference. In isolation eg: using them alone with the pool filter there is virtually no difference in temp. There is scope to add more to the link increasing them to 4 in total but I am not confident in spending more money on a product that does not work with two. This may sound strange, but i have a sunny shower, same unit but its intended as a shower.The principle is the same, other than the water remains in the heater for about an hour in direct sun light. It then heats up and when connected to a hose pipe (cold water) it jets out hot water to help take the chill off you or give you a garden wash after being in your pool.Highly recommend this standalone device. Ideal for camping, and during hot days I use the hot water to increase the pool temp without any cost to my pocket. This bit of information I thought I would share. So the pods on their own are rubbish unless you leave them full of water for an hour with the pump off and then switch on for a two minute burst, then off again for another hour. This is not practical at all for pool use. Then it works. If anyone has more than two and thinks it works let me know?

Bereits unser zweites Solarheizgerät. Wir haben sie in Reihe geschaltet, wobei man natürlich auf ausreichend Pumpleistung achten muss. Wunder darf man keine erwarten, aber es ist ein deutlicher Unterschied zu spüren. Ich denke 3 Grad pro Solareinheit sind realistisch. Einziges echtes Manko ist das Entleeren am Saisonende. Das ist eine echte Geduldsprobe.

Das Solarheizgerät war nichts intakt, die Kuppel war innen mit Wasser beschlagen und lief beim schrägstellung am Rand der Kuppel heraus, habe das Gerät zum Umtausch zurück geschickt deshalb noch keine Bewertung

La mia valutazione negativa non è in alcun modo rivolta al prodotto (che sarà sicuramente efficientissimo e tecnologicamente inappuntabile), quanto al comportamento dell'Azienda venditrice, alla quale mi sono rivolto per segnalare che l'oggetto (come è apparso subito evidente dopo aver aperto il pacco) non era adatto per essere applicato alla mia piscina "Gre".Ebbene: l'unica argomentazione ricevuta dall'Azienda è stato il suo trincerarsi dietro all'avvenuto decorso dei giorni utili previsti da "Amazon" per il rimborso.Per carità, risposta formalmente ineccepibile: i giorni erano effettivamente passati in quanto, per motivazioni di carattere personale, avevo intrapreso il montaggio della piscina solo circa un mese dopo aver acquistato sia la piscina stessa, sia il riscaldatore solare.Tuttavia, mi sarei atteso dal venditore tutt'altro genere di riscontro... ne lascio la valutazione ai potenziali acquirenti, oltre al suggerimento di informarsi preventivamente se l'oggetto sia effettivamente interfacciabile con la propria piscina.
