Worth every penny
We have our wireless router near the front door and wireless reception in our downstairs study, where we have a wireless printer, was almost nonexistent. A booster wasn't that effective either so we were stuck.Thank goodness for this fantastic kit. Had one or two teething problems connecting it up, but that was my fault for not reading the instructions. You need to set it up so all the extensions 'clone' your routers access details - this is explained in the notes, and/or there are set up videos on YouTube. Once it was set up, we leave the base unit plugged in, and switch the extensions on when required. A connection is then automatically made to the base unit, and we then have fast wireless broadband around the house, wherever we are. The printer works brilliantly.Having an Ethernet connection on each extension means non-wireless devices can be connected to the wireless network aswell as wireless ones.If you use an iPad/iPhone, and you're near an extension and away from your router, you might need to turn off wifi and reconnect so it connects to the extension rather than the router, and you get a good wireless signal. Sometimes it connects to the strongest signal automatically. This is not a cheap bit of kit, but Amazon's price is as good as any other supplier and it's definitely worth it.

Works great, but instructions are useless. Set up instructions for Mac included in this review.
I read the reviews of the much more expensive BT extender and was directed to this product. I wanted to extend my wifi both upstairs to our 2nd floor loft conversion and to our back garden sun room, both had weak signals because my BT Homehub is at the front of the house and the fire-doors seem to erode the signal.I was pretty sure that this was not going to be a straight-forward set up having read the reviews. I wanted a seamless SSID around the house. The instructions are not that great. The mini-CD is useless if you have a Mac and the online instructions are not that easy to follow as they merge a few products into one manual.Luckily the reviews here have helped get me set up.Here is what I did:Plug the small unit into the ethernet port on router and into the wall. It will leap into action.Plug the first larger unit into a wall and use an ethernet cable to access the router. Forget about the WPS function - I wasted an hour on that. The larger wi-fi extender will receive Internet data but will be on a TP-Link SSID. Forget about trying to access this router by using the TPLINKPLCLOGIN.Net set up, just go to 192.168.1.1 and use the admin/admin login and password to access the settings and now you can change the channel to something different to your router and the SSID and password to the same as your router.Reboot in the menu and you are done. Unplug and repeat for the other unit.I was now set up and it works very well. My devices seek out the strongest signal wifi and log in to that seamlessly. Thanks to the other reviewers for helping get me set up! I have not done a speed test but it seems pretty quick and a lot better than the weak signal I was getting previously upstairs.

Well Worth Using
Using BT home hub 5 with bt infinity 2, I was having wifi blackspots in a couple of our bedrooms, I have tried using a BT dual band extender, which did get wifi into the rooms but was draining our wifi speeds, which is no good in a 4 bedroom house with multiple devices, so I took a gamble and bought this treble kit and also an additional extender.SOOO GLAD I DID, as I now have full wifi signal around the whole house with no drop out on speeds ( between 30-40 MB) over the 2.4GHz channel. This product is not dual band and only connects to the 2.4GHz channel, so anyone with a BT home hub 5 should just give there 5GHz channel a seperate ssid name. All our wifi devices work seamlessly from one room to another and all our game consoles and smart tv's are now connected via the ethernet cables (2 on each extender), so best of both worlds.Setting up I ignored the paper instructions that came in the box and just set them all up the way the youtube video shows you to do.1 Plug the small adapter into a power socket and connect to router with the ethernet cable supplied2 Place one large extender into a power socket (I did this as close to the adapter as I could)3 Press the pair button on the front of the small adapter4 Press the pair button on the underside of the large extender (lights will flash then top 2 remain steady)5 Press WPS button on router6 Press WPS button on front of large extenderAnd that's it, it copies your name and password of your 2.4GHZ ssidI then brought the large extender into the bedroom that was furthest away, plugged it in and connected to it straight away, I repeated the process above for every other extender.Would highly recommend!!!
