The Ink stays put no matter the conditions
I was on a quest to find the best marker that was waterproof and that could be used outside for plant labels that needed to be legible no matter the weather. I bought three different markers made by three different manufacturers and all three claimed to be made for gardening. When I wrote with each pen they all wrote well and were thick enough to be able to see the writing even when on a small plant label. The second test was to put all the labels into water and let them sit in a bowl of water to see which one did the best. As you can see from my pictures, all three markers stood strong even while immersed in water. The last test was to add other elements to see how much it would withstand. I used Windex first and all markers stood strong. I then used Clorox cleanup to the last test and that is where the markers reacted differently. One of the markers did not stand up to Clorox, however the other two still stayed put. I am really impressed with the marker's durability and can be assured that the labels I put in my seed pot will still be there when the seeds turn into a plant and I will know what I’ve grown. The 133 Supply Marker is the marker on the right and was a very good performer and will be a pen I can use moving forward for my gardening needs. One extra point for this marker is that it is Xlene-free to ensure that these chemicals are not bleeding into your plants. Since I do a lot of organic gardening this feature is important to me.

Ink lasts and doesn’t fade in the sun or wash away!
The ink performs as expected and doesn’t wash away or fade as j was getting using a standard sharpie. The stakes are also sturdy and do the job. Great deal!!

These are great for plant labels
Have you ever planted seeds and noted: "I will remeber what I planted there?" I am guilty of this and then have to wait and see what it is I planted. Now, I have labels and these markers to label my plants. I like that they do not fade and are water proof. I have also used these markers on labels for bluebird boxes within the community. The boxes are numbered and often fade. This year, I used these markers and there was no problem with fading. The boxes are numbered for several reasons. The primary reason, if repairs are needed, then calling in the box number is more efficient. (There are over 400 boxes in the community) I purchased a few sets of these and have shared the markers with the volunteer bird monitors. These markers are great to have on hand. BUT! Keep out of the hands of small chidren, these are permanent markers.

Work good, sharpie probably works just as well though

Excellent!
Doesn't fade with water and sunlight! So much better than a Sharpie. These are all I'm going to use in my garden now. Highly recommend. I've written on my peat starter pots and watered the plants several times. The marker stayed perfect, no bleeding or fading.

Great plant label pens!
I’ve been using various brands of permanent markers to label my plants. The marker tips are either too fat or too thin and had a lot of sun fade issues and by the end of the season I couldn’t read what the tag said anymore. These pens have a deep black ink, write incredibly well, don’t smell terrible while you’re writing, and have a perfect tip where you can fit lot of detail onto a tag and still read it. Definitely water resistant but when I messed up one tag I was easily able to clean off the ink with nail polish remover and start over.I haven’t had enough tags out in the sun long enough to say for sure that they’re fade resistant, but since they live up to all the other claims, I’m going to assume the ink will last longer than a season.
