Dead on arrival
4 other users rated it good. It seems like it could be a good unit with the decent options in the web portal. Simple enough to setup out of the box but the thing is when I plug an HDMI signal that works great in other devices, it's not picked up on the unit and it does not display any video. See attached image. Also the led which displays a good HDMI connection is not lit up.I can't find a way to contact the company. On the chance they respond here and possibly send me a firmware update that fixes the issue I'll fix my review otherwise if they ask me to exchange my unit I'll give that a try too.

Overall works OK
It's not bad for the money. Seems to run solid, I have had NO lockups at all.It seems to run cool enough.Browser support for the stream seems to be in a box (my RPI tries to download a FLV using the link) and only works from the Encoder Management Console with FLV URL enabled (No h265, Prob No Browser Support for 265) from the green Preview(HTML5) link. The VLC reads http TS and RTSP streams good.No Connection to YouTube Live yet with RTMP push. It doesn't seem to be set up for the password other than with SRT which doesn't seem to work. I also tried RTMPS which also did NOT work. (I kind of got the unit for YouTube Live though!) (Still waiting for a response from the seller. I already got 1 promptly about browser support!) This streamer show's connected but YouTube Live is NOT getting any video.OBS Studio worked with my YouTube Live account and could forward this streamer's video."This Hdmi Encoder Supports Live Streaming For Youtube, Ustream, Wowza, Facebook And Other Platforms.computer Is Not Necessary For Live Broadcast." Is accurate!SUCCESS!!!I was able to make connection and get video on YouTube Live Studio by changing some of the default values. Facetime Live was easy... Remember!! No h265 on RTMP, h264 only and add the stream key with a "/(Stream Key)" after the address. No vbr, cbr only. YouTub key Variable is OK. Stream key does not seem to be used from the SRT Encryption Password box for RTMP(S) Push. My DSL send is limited to 1Mb so keep the bit rate and resolution low to help avoid corruption.Adding Better Browser Support!I use a RPI 4 and Chromium Browser.Install the Play HLS Browser Extension in Chromium.Enable the HLS URL in the encoder and copy the url to the browser address.NOTE: Bit Rates for the HLS channel in the encoder had to be set below 2000 or the encoder will run out of memory!

so far, didn't have any issue during a test run
With this, my workspace now has the encoder that is capable of converting HDMI video to a network stream, which I absolutely do not need, haha. I got this for my brother, a professional gamer who streams not only his play but various activities on multiple platforms. I am trying to equip my extra room properly so he can do his work even if he has to stay over unexpectedly. With this, he can output two video streams and support live broadcasts on different platforms simultaneously. He only test-ran this encoder, which didn’t have any issues, but I will see how he likes it when he does his full broadcast segment at my place using this encoder. Because this company provides a generous 5-year Limited Warranty and Lifelong Technical Support, I am giving it 5 stars for now. If any issue arises or this encoder fails us rather unexpectedly, I will definitely update my review.
