WORK SHARP WSKTS-I The New Way to Sharpen

Brilliant machine that works a treat sharpens knives perfectly. We did every type of knife that could be done and they all came out really good. Obviously you get a bit of noise which is to be expected and you must check as you sharpen not to go too far so you don’t over sharpen and ruin the knife. It’s easy to use but I had to buy a transformer for it which wasn’t a problem as it’s a quality machine.

An electric knife sharpener that really works! I've used all kinds of sharpeners over the years and this is the best by far. I've used to sharpen everything from pocket knives, hunting or outdoor knives and kitchen knives. It also does a great job on scissors.It sharpens quickly, maybe 5minutes a knife from pretty blunt to shaving sharp. Even very hard stainless steel knives sharpened quickly although won't hold and edge for long.It uses sanding belts in three grades, 80, 220 and 600. There are diamond belts available as well. You use guides for knives to give correct angles but you use it "freehand" to do lawnmower blades and other tools, axes maybe.Wish it had been available years ago.

All the reviews are correct - this is indeed a fantastic invention. Anyone who cares about keeping their knives and tools in tip top condition should consider a Work sharp. I have struggled with a couple of my knives that have a slightly odd edge profile, and conventional means were proving too slow to alter this. 5 mins with the Work sharp and they are like brand new.Word of caution - no matter how experienced you think you are, practice on an old knife before touching anything you value. This machine requires a delicate touch and a bit of practice but otherwise is very very easy to use

Bought it to sharpen my chisels but isn't really great at this as it does round the sides, but otherwise excellent. Sharpens knives, lawnmower blades, scissors and most other things easily, quickly and very well. Overall very happy.

Does everything it says it does. I have tried all kinds of methods for sharpening knives. I have used the minosharp japanese sharpening system for some time (which I thought was pretty good) until I discovered the worksharp. It can sharpen your edges to (literally) razor sharpness (the knife will take the hair off your arm) if you require them to be that sharp. It is also more versitile than the minosharp, offering a variety of bevel angles to sharpen different knives to and the ability to sharpen gardening tools like lawnmower blades, secateurs etc. Also it will sharpen scissors and serrated edge knives. This is the gold standard of knife sharpening.

Care must be taken and make sure you follow the instructions. Great tool which saves time

I have used sharpening stones all my life and lately the diamond sharpeners.I would spend 3-4 minutes on each knife and am able to get a very sharp finish.I now have an arthritic wrist and thought i would give this a try.Very pleased with the result and the machine gets the same result in 20-30 seconds with no effort at all.A good buy for me.
