Short shelf life but very effective
The shelf life is twelve months from the date of manufacture and the product was already six months old when it arrived. I use a powder preparation normally and that is said to have a shelf life of 2-4 years though Ive never been convinced it makes much difference. This product seems to be very effective. Most amazing was dalia and tomato cuttings which rooted in 4 days. Sage took 2 weeks, Clematis softwood took 3 weeks. If my lavender and rosemary do as well I think this will have to be an annual purchase

It didn't help my cacti root. Arrived with short "use by" date.
The product has to be used within 1 year from the manufacturing date. The bottle I received in beginning of August expires in November. Therefore, I get only 4 months to use the product. Doesn't seem fair as I paid full price for it.Update. I have used this Clonex gel multiple times to help my cacti root. I have to say there wasn't any sign it worked better than just using sulphur powder. I'm not convinced Clonex does anything and with short explanation date it's not a good value for money.Hope it helps.

Satisfactory results
Does what it says on the tin, just have to follow the enclosed instructions very carefully. I've had a couple of failures at first but I think that was my mistake(too much water and moisture ).Two vital points:1)use it IMMEDIATELY after you acquire your cutting.2)Cuttings need humidity to start rooting but too much water, warmth and stagnant air will lead to rot.Of course don't expect this to be a miracle product. But it does make a difference in that roots appear more vigorous and quite faster than by not using it.Have fun and good luck in your gardening ventures!

Has definitely helped
I had tried several times to take cuttings from a rose which were unsuccessful. I tried various rooting powders and liquids, I used clonex to see if it would help and sure enough I had 90% success where previously cuttings hadn’t calloused or rooted.
