Use it all the time
Great to own. Either in a tool kit, or the kitchen drawer. Very handy to have around.

A Useful Tool to Have
This is a useful tool to have in your kit. It can be used to pry open tablets and smartphones. Some laptops and laptop displays could be opened with this too, but be aware that this is not the strongest tool. It's better suited to smaller electronics.

Great tool if used carefully and in the right situation
Again iFixit come up trumps with an item that does what t is intended to do without fear of breaking (although it could obviously break if too much force is needed but then you would be using the wrong tool for the job!).I have had no problems opening clipped items with this item and if used alongside other plastic picks etc, then you have a tool that should last a lifetime if not lost or used for the wrong job.Handle is fairly comfortable and not had any discomfort when prying products open.If there was a negative it would be that it will scratch surfaces if it slips during use, but that is going to happen with a metal bladed item anyway so if you are concerned about this, then a plastic pry tool would be a better choice (but not going to last as long obviously).

I haven't broken it yet
The handle really lets you put some force into it without ruining your hands and the blade hasn't broken, turned or bent yet. When i need to open up electronics and other clipped cases its the tool i reach for.

Useful device, shame about the name.
The iFixit Jimmy has been a helpful addition to my toolkit, especially for working on delicate electronics like phones and laptops. Its slim, angled blade slides easily between seams, allowing me to pop open cases without damaging the components or the device’s casing. The stainless steel blade is thin yet sturdy, which gives it the flexibility needed for tight spots but enough durability to withstand repeated use. However, I have a couple of reservations. First, the metal blade can still scratch softer plastics if you’re not very careful, so it's important to use a light touch. Additionally, the grip could be a bit more ergonomic; after prolonged use, it starts to feel slightly uncomfortable, especially if you’re working on a tricky device. A rubberized or textured handle would improve control and reduce hand strain.Overall, the iFixit Jimmy is a reliable, well-made tool for electronics repair. It works well for most prying tasks, but take care on delicate plastics and plan for a break if you’re doing extended work.Would have been 5 stars BUT as a note I would suggest a name change of this item, in the UK this name and description reminds us of a very unsavoury TV presenter.
