Very easy to set when using Alexa.
This product's ease of set up was amazing. The plugs have a solid design and small enough to fit in tight places.

New Wi-Fi smart plug with Smart Bluetooth mesh technology is easy to install and operate.
The media could not be loaded. This plug is the best I have tried so far. I have been using Smart Plugs for a number of years now. Traditionally, they have been challenging to install and connect as they are limited to 2.5Ghz wifi and other finicky issues with discovery. The new Amysen Smart Bluetooth plug addresses all of these issues with easier connectivity using both traditional apps and voice-controlled Alexa connections. My video demonstrates how connect using both methods.First, I used the SmartLife app to connect these devices. I plugged in the device and launched the SmartLife app and the device was immediately discovered and installed. It was done in a matter of minutes.Next, I tested the new Alexa method. Amysen supports Alexa devices, and voice control can also be used to discover and install the plugs. I tested this feature as well. It was very simple to do and only took a minute. If you are having issues, as always make sure that your Alex device is on the network you are using with Alexa or Smartlife...plug the Amysen device that you want to control, once it is blinking and is in discovery mode, ask Alexa to find devices or allow Smartlife to do the same. It takes 30 seconds for Alexa to register the device and slightly longer for Smartlife. At that point you can control it by voice. Use the Alexa app to change the device name, create a schedule, or put it in a group. It was very easy to do and worked flawlessly.

works perfectly after some tweaking
I'LL start by saying I'm wright this review after 1 month of trying to solve a problem of losing connection to the network.and after 1 week of no problems, I think I've figgered it out. This is my second set of smart plugs & unlike my amazon branded plugs this wasn't easy to set up.the instruction says it blinks fast in setup mood but after more than 1/2 hour of failed setups I discoved, there are 2 types of fast blinking & only one is the peering mode & that is the slower of the 2 blinks.when I eventually got the set working, I decided to use them for fans in 2 different rooms & it worked fine with the app/Alexa/google home on my phone. the voice assistants were very straight forward to set up.at this point, I would have given it 5stars but then the "Offline" problem started.I would say "*** turn on the fan" and nothing would happen or I would get a reply that it is not responding.& when you look in the Smart life app it would say the plug is offline. unplugging it for 10sec did not help. you could still turn it on with the power button on the plug but no software options worked. and just as random, it would lose connection, just as random it would reconnect. after about 2 weeks of this. I contacted Amazon for help. After some troubleshooting, it was concluded that the units were defective. being out of the USA, it would have cost much more than the full refund to send it back so I kept them & got a partial refund.2 weeks ago I was telling a friend about the problem & he asked if I ever checked to see how many wireless routers in my proximity that are on the same channel as my router? because it could be an interference problem.my channel was set to auto & at the time only 2 other routers were on the same channel.channel 13 was free so I tried it and the plugs connected immediately. but when I checked my Amazon plugs they were flashing red and wasn't responding to commands. I tried resetting them & could not even see my router in the Alexa app. so I put the channel back on automatic & the router repaired in the Alexa app.I then tied a lower channel # and both plugs worked and for the past week have been working with no problems. so I suspect that different brand plugs don't support some of the router channels & by my router channel being set to Auto, some times it would go on a channel that wasn't supported by this plug, causing it to go offline and it would only come back online when the channel changed again. so I'm taking 1 star off because of the difficulty of setup & that fact that is a notification that you need to be on a 2.4ghz network but nothing was mentioned about router channels if you are having problems.

Not Compatible with Alexa, App Sucks
Two plugs connected to Alexa fine & worked as expected for a couple weeks. One day those two plugs lost connection simultaneously and now none of the included plugs can be detected by Alexa.I can still turn the plugs on and off though their app (Smart Life) but I wanted these so I could put a daily timer on my houseplant lights.… You’re supposed to be able to set timers through the Smart Life app but I keep getting an error message when I try to do so. Honestly, the app itself could use major overhaul. It wasn’t hard to use but it’s not exactly intuitive either and registering gets a little tedious when you have multiple devices to connect. Also, as an aside, the shape is clunky and this makes it hard to use the 2nd plug of whatever outlet you’ve got this plugged into. I can see how this might be an issue with most of these type devices though so I’m not sure I can really fault it for that.If you got to the end of this review, good. You need to keep shopping.

What I needed
I have a 5g router with some 2.4 g connections when I went to fiber optic on ATT. Since a lot of mine stuff uses 2.4 g a long with my 2.4 g smart plugs I will say I was out of room. I started looking for 5 G plugs and Amazon was the only place to find them. Well so far so good. I will be using my 5g plugs with my indoor Christmas lights. The only thing I will say negative about it is that one must use Alexa for off on timing. The Smart life app does not do that as far as I know just count down. Still well please so far. The real test will come day after Thanksgiving when the lights will be running.

Not 100% Alexa
The first plug I used from the box worked fine and it paired with my Alexa app right away and it worked as advertised. I then plugged in a second plug and the plug required me to down an app called Smart Life - Smart Living that required an in-app purchase. I then tried another plug and it also require me to download the app. I this item.
