Zeno Watch Basel Unisex Watch Pilot Basic 12836DD-a1

I've only had it a week, but so far so good. It arrived on time so no complaints about Amazon service. It looks good (sort of rugged but smart) and is comfortable to wear. It seems accurate enough, bearing in mind its mechanical rather than quartz. The nice thing about it is its 'easy to read' face and the fact that it's not too big; alternatives at 42-45mm may look good from afar but look ridiculous on the wrist! It would be good if Zeno-Basel worked out that someone other than a German/Swiss German might buy their watches and provide instructions in other languages, such as English!

Needed something stainless to use as modest dress watch as well as casual. Exactly, what I needed, good quality inside, but not too glossy outlook. Has Swiss made ETA 2836-2 automatic movement. Usually watches with these cost two or three times more (search in Amazon, you will see). As Zeno is concentrated making good watches, not advertising, it is real bargain.Now some additions to the product details. It is 11 mm thick and 37 mm in external diameter. Luminescent hands, numbers and hour marker dots. Luminescence stands quite OK, not till the morning in winter darkness, but good enough for movies. Crown has engraving of Swiss cross with shield (not shown in pictures.) Nice addition, but I can not tell for sure, is it common or exception. It has weekday names in two languages, you can choose one for display (German or English). Rear window for display of automatic movement.Details quality is high, even at real close look. Excellent choice for small wrists and for ones who do not stand heavy items around the wrist, but still want excellent mechanical watch. Does not stop your shirt sleeve to move freely. Very well readable. First I assumed that these big numbers make it little messy, but opposite experience when used. The overall size and number size have just correct balance. My watch had accuracy +4 seconds over first 24 hours. Of course, after break in it may be different, will see.Was on offer at amazon.es so purchased from there. Arrived day later, than promised. Amazon.es packaging and delivery was quite pure, not protective at all, not for signature. As factory packaging had several layers of shock absorbing protection inside, no harm to watch.The strap is from good quality leather. There is insert inside strap. It creates nice profile, but at first strap is quite rigid also. Probably just needs some time for getting shape according to hand. With the watch there comes small black leather pouch for storage. As a little tweak, manual is in German. I like it, shows off a little. It is Swiss and does not care if you are not.

Diese Uhr macht den Eindruck einer Vintageuhr und verfügt über eine deutsche und englische Wochentagsanzeige.Man kann die Zeit klar und unkompliziert ablesen.Ganggenauigkeit ist auch gut.Nachtrag: Ein Tag nach der obigen guten Rezension mußte ich leider feststellen, daß die Uhr nicht Wasserdicht ist. Feuchtigkeit bildet sich auf dem Glas . Bei so einer teuren Uhr ist das nicht akzeptabel. Nun muß die Uhr zurück. Schade! :(

Purtroppo, appena aperta la confezione, ho avuto l'impressione che il vetro fosse addirittura rigato difettato. In realtà non è così, ma ho riscontrato del pulviscolo all'interno. Dopo qualche giorno ho sottoposto l'orologio ad un consulente orologiaio esperto; ha riscontrato delle micro bolle nella vernice dei numeri e delle lancette, dalle quali probabilmente si staccano particelle che rimangono all'interno del quadrante. Ha inoltre riscontrato un minimo solco circolare sulla superficie del quadrante, in prossimità del perno delle lancette. Un prodotto assolutamente non all'altezza delle aspettative, trattandosi di una casa di produzione svizzera e comunque con prezzo impegnativo, e che pertanto restituirò.

Al mio le entró humedad y solo lo mojé lavándome las manos. Así que estaba muy contento pero lo he devuelto. No sé si será defecto de fabricación. Pero resistente a 30 metros no es.

Pedí instrucciones para efectuar una revisión en garantía -pues se paraba ocasionalmente a pesar de darle cuerda manualmente- y a vuelta de correo me enviaron uno nuevo.El hecho de que el reloj que se paraba tenía evidentes muestras de uso tanto en la correa, como alguna ralladura en cristal y caja no supuso ningún problema.

A very nice watch, but a typical unisex size. Too small for my wrist and could not tell from the pictures. However the quality is excellent and the finish is sublime. A beautiful and timeless design combined with a high quality movement.
