This controller is so much better then joycons. I've always found that the joycons feel kinda flimsy and small so replacing them with this was a really good call. It's super responsive and feels very sturdy. It adds quite a bit of weight to the switch, which while it ain't too bad for me, I'd imagine a kid would likely drop it easily, so be cautious of that if you're getting this for a kiddo.I've seen some people complain about rail scratches, but from what I've experienced with my regular ol' switch, it hasn't been scratches, I'd assume the scratching is more something to be wary of if you're using this controller with an OLED switch.The buttons are also very clicky and have quite the loudness to them. It's not bothersome to me personally, but if you don't like loud button clicking this controller probably isn't the best option. Overall it's a pretty sweet controller, feels great and looks cool and retro style. It's certainly running laps around the joycons in terms of quality, that's for sure!

Having suffered from cramps and pins and needles from using the standard Joy-Cons on my Switch I had been looking for an alternative controller to use in handheld mode.I did consider the Hori Split Pad Pro (Pac-Man version) but the the classic GameCube styling paired with the Hall (no drift) analogue sticks sealed the deal on this Retroflag offering.So far it works great. I have used it comfortably for up to 40 minutes with no cramps or discomfort.The switchable buttons and turbo mode make it ideal for run and gun/shooter games, and the slightly larger full D-pad make Street Fighter moves easy to pull off.The controller also has vibration which adds some nice feedback during gameplay.The Switch slides down into the controller and onto the USB-C connection. I had to flex the back of the controller ever so slightly to get it to fit first time, but it has been fine since.The controller also has the ability to Fast charge whilst in use.Build quality looks very good and having purchased a variety of products from Retroflag over the years I’m confident it should last.One small gripe is that the shoulder buttons are digital and I would have preferred analogue for racing games like Grid.Note: Before using ensure “Pro Controller Wired Communication” is set to “On” (System Settings >> Controllers and Sensors).Overall the GameCube styling, Hall analogue sticks, Full D-pad and ergonomic design have made this a win for me.

I brought this controller because I was so fed up with the drift on the joy-con.This is by far the best controller for the switch .It is so responsive and there is no drift at all.It is a little more heavy than usual, and i can't put it in the docking station to charge or play on my TV. But I can take out the charger from the docking station to charge, and also take it out of this controller and pop it in the station for the TV to play with the wired control pad I got .Altogether well worth the outlay.I do play it more on handheld to be honest.

the best thing about thus item is that theres a backing so if you hold the switch in one hand it still feels very sturdy

seems like a really good controller, shame it doesnt work at all when i plug my switch straight into it. i tried enabling the pro controller option in the setting and i tried updating the firmware of the controller itself via their official website to no avail. the charging option seems to work, and the controller seems to work when plugged into the switch using a cable, but that's completely useless and defeats its purpose. will have to get a refund

I have been on a mission to find the best controller .I've tried different cases , controllers and this is the BEST.I'll never use anything else in handheld mode.Rumble and Dual Motor Vibration I've used other controllers with and without it like the hori split pads. Ich bin echt begeistert von diesem Controller! Er fühlt sich an wie eine Mischung aus dem Pro Controller und den normalen Switch-Controllern, aber mit dem riesigen Plus, dass er direkt an die Konsole andockt. Die Qualität ist top, kein billiges Plastikgefühl oder so. Die Switch liegt mit dem Teil richtig gut und sicher in der Hand, was mir besonders bei längeren Zock-Sessions aufgefallen ist.Die Buttons und Sticks reagieren super schnell und genau, was bei schnellen Spielen echt ein Gamechanger ist. Es fühlt sich fast so an, als hätte Nintendo das Teil selbst gemacht, so nahtlos passt es zur Konsole.Kurz gesagt: Wer seine Switch öfter in die Hand nimmt und Wert auf ein solides Spielerlebnis legt, sollte sich diesen Controller definitiv anschauen. Hat für mich die Art, wie ich spiele, echt verbessert!
