Works with Toyota vehicles
I purchased this OBD-II scanner to read the transmission temperature in my 2017 RAV4 and 2020 Tacoma. Works flawlessly and has a ton more of useful data for various components. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Excellent Customer Service by Ancel
I mainly purchased this to live stream the transmission temperature on my 2018 4Runner so I could check the fluid level after a drain and refill. It did that just fine. Although this is mainly Toyota oriented, it will read codes on other makes and models. I had an issue with unit I received, and the Ancel customer service folks reached out to me and made it right. Five-star service!

Scanner No Longer Works After Software Update
I have only used the scanner twice and then I tried to update the software and the scanner now no longer powers up. I can't get Amazon not Ancel to help me out. Amazon refers me back to Ancel and vice versa. Was an awesome scanner when it worked.

2019 Tacoma TRD O/R 4x4 Transmission
Worked fantastic to register the transmission temperature. If you’re looking to drain and fill and need the details, please follow the below:ANCEL TOYOTA OBD2 SCANNER: TRANSMISSION TEMP CHECK ◦ Toyota ◦ Diagnosis history ◦ Tacoma-2019 ◦ System scan ◦ Transmission ◦ Data stream ◦ Select Items ◦ Pg. 5, 21-24 ◦ Check A/T Oil Temperature No1 and No2 ◦ ESC ◦ Drain plug at 35c-45c

Good , to a point, on three Toyotas : 2002 Tacoma, 2007 Avalon and 2011 Prius.
It provides quite a lot of data. It's a bit hard to maneuver through the displays, but I suppose there is the usual 'learning curve' problem. Along those lines, the manual is pretty skimpy particularly in the TPMS area which has no manual help. The displays guide you through the steps with some experimentation. I haven't gone all the way through a relearn process since I am a bit nervous about getting to a successful end. I think the ID readouts are ok, but I am pretty sure the tire pressures are miss scaled. Which leads me to the sad fact of not being to get a real contact with their support. They say that they don't work on weekends and I wonder about week days.

GREAT!
Hi,I bought this to check the automatic transmission oil temp on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma for a drain and fill of the automatic transmission. This thing gives you all kinds of information and most importantly the 2 oil temps for the automatic transmission oil I needed. Great Product!

Okay. I like this product more now.
Update: Feb 1 2024This unit did exactly what I needed, although I had to struggle through the 'poorly documented' TPMS features. I kept entering my new ID numbers (for the TPMS senders) , but my Tundra OBD computer would not take them. I finally figured out I was hitting the wrong OK button after each ID. Instead of using the OK button on the front of the TD700, you must scroll down the menu to the Enter (or OK or Done) choice and select THAT one. I don't have it in front of me right now, so I don't know the label on the proper choice, but it will be obvious to you when you scroll to the bottom of the ID entry menu. BTW: The TD700 cannot scan your TPMS sensors, but you should know their IDs if you just replaced them. Write the numbers down as you install them and note which tire location has which ID number.Original Review:I like the regular OBD2 features on the TD700. HOWEVER, I bought it specifically for the TPMS features. But GET THIS! I have searched for several days on the internet and can FIND NO information on how to use the TPMS features on this TD700. Then I tried to ask them a question on their website, ONLY to be blown off by their SUBMIT button! It popped up a very quick message saying: "Please Later". I CANNOT RECOMMEND the TD700 if you want it for TPMS reprogramming or resetting, unless you are a mind-reader! Why no one has published a 'how-to' on using the TPMS features for this product, is a MIND-BLOWER!

Works well with Toyota. OBD DTCS ABS SRS TPMS registration.
I added a new TPMS sensor to the car. Read and cleared TPMS codes, registered all 5 TPMS sensors. and saw the TPMS datalist. Lots of function for the price.

Excellent for Landcruiser
That's a great scanner for Toyota vehicles. I have a 2006 100 series Land Cruiser with a V8 engine, and the tool provides detailed analysis that even a Toyota dealer might not be able to offer. However, there are two drawbacks. First, the scanner only supports models made in Europe, the US, and Japan. So, for Australian cars, you may initially get a message saying the ECU is not supported. You’ll need to find which models and brands in Australia correspond to the US versions. In my case, the match was a 2004 Land Cruiser in the US, allowing the scanner to connect to the ECU and engine. The second issue is that the scanner is very slow, so you'll need to be patient.

if you own a Japanese imported Toyota you need this.
Like I said If you happen to own an imported Japanese Toyota you need this.I own a Toyota Corolla Fielder Hybrid imported. Now while such imports are becoming more plenty full and parts become the same. The place I live not even the car test centres have the ability to run a test on them. They put a notice on your pass Their system cannot connect to the car.Now in saying that. After plunging it to my own car. I had to go to the japan section to find the Toyota Corolla Fielder Hybrid. As I could not find it in the European section But that was not a problem to do. So I ran the test It went through the testing quickly. Leaving some sections out. But it will do that depending on the car specifications. not all car models have the same . So if their is something your car don't have it cannot test it. That's only logical. You can do a battery test. You can do a test while the car is running for emissions before you have to bring it into the test centre for testing. It also has life time updates So as new things come along . You can keep up with them. So that can only be a good thing. Now this is for Toyota and a few other cars. You can find the full list of cars it is suitable for on the sellers page here. By downloading the instruction manual. If your car is on it then this is the one for you.Now the test I carried out showed no faults I did not expect any to show us.But that is what most people will find.It is only when a fault shows up that the real value of having one for your car, is appreciatedFirst of all it will tell you the fault and give you the code for that fault. All cars as far as I know use the same code to fault. A list of the fault codes can be downloaded from a lot of places on line.So if you know the fault and the part required and you can do it yourself if you have the know how.So saving you some money. But you also know the problem when having someone look at your car.Plus it will teach you a little more about how your car works and why sometimes it wont.ANCEL Customer ServiceNow I did have an inquiry about something with regards to the unit. I contactedANCEL by E mail and they got back to me within 24 hours.Resolving my inquiry So prompt service from their Customer servicesSo all in all very happy with the product. They are a bit like seat belts and air bagsYou hope you never need them to do their job.But you will be glad you have them should they be required. My advice no matter what car you have get one for your car.You would be crazy not to have something that shows you what is going on.But in saying all that For the asking priceYou would think they would give you a bag to keep it in as standard.

You will need to know the tire ID first.
We are unable to get the tire ID on the tires so we cannot clear the alert. I'm sure it would have worked though. Will need to return this product.

Works for Toyota Transmission Oil Temperature
I was looking for OBDII scan tool for changing transmission oil in my 2020 Toyota Highlander (transmission UA80E) which doesn't have an oil pan, so a temperature gun wouldn't work. I couldn't find a definitive answer whether this unit would work until I came across a Toyota forum and someone mentioned this tool. Took a chance and bought it and after doing the update and running the data stream, lo and behold, it displayed the transmission oil temperature.Updating this unit was a bit of a pain because the downloaded file needs to be unzipped. I could not get it to update as I was getting failed to update window. The trick is don't update the unit from which ever extraction app you use. Extract, then exit the unzip app and go into your Windows file system and update from there.
