Is this a direct switch (replacement) for the randall set2?

Our old Danfoss Randall programmer stopped working and the new one was purchased as a direct replacement for one of the numbers referred to on the Amazon site, including SET5. Therefore, regrettably, I cannot answer your query as were were not looking at the wallplate aspect.

Hi. I think I had the same old unit. The 975 should be a direct replacement. The plate at the back of the 975 is the same size as the old one. No harm in getting one and returning it if unsuitable. Good look. Ricky
