Best lights yet
So far so good. These lights have far exceeded my expectations. For such a low price you get your money's worth as long as it lasts longer than a year. I have them sitting above the water underneath my tank hood so we will see if the light stands up to the moisture but the description says it's water resistant so it should. All of the features work as intended and the 24 hour cycle is great.Brightness is above average, definitely better than the ones that came with my tank hood. My tank is just over 13 inches wide and this light fits very well. If this light holds up I will be buying more!

Lights Up aquarium!
The light itself was smaller than anticipated but with the adjustable arms it fits my tank perfect (18 inch width). Recommend to anyone with 40 gallon or smaller!

Perfect!
Works as described! My mystery snails, moss and floating plants flourish with this light. With the very helpful review about how to work the 24hr on this product, that helped me tremendously to figure out the 24 hr timer. Thank you so much for your honest review and explanation on how to work it. I would have thought the product did not work as described without your review.

*** Not the length stated. Subtract 3.5" for the part that lights up. Read below
Ok, I ordered this stupidly assuming the 12" -18" length means that 12" is indicative of the length of the lights part only - not counting how far it can be extended by the rods on either side. Well, I was wrong.... the actual length of the lights part only is actually just 8.5" long (not counting the black plastic edge on either side where the metal extension rods click in). So in reality the part that emits light is 3.5" shorter than they let you believe by labeling it as 12" -18". Other than that, the light is great and appears high quality. I will return this for 1 or even 2 sizes up in described length seeing how I have to subtract several inches from what is written as the length, to what is actually illuminated.
