Get ready for some tinkering!
Let's get the bad out of the way: it's OLED, so those weird artifacts in the screen aren't your imagination... They do that. You can't play all your old Android game library. You'll get a little notification that your game was made for an older version of Android and won't meet the security requirements.... Pretty much my entire Amazon Appstore collection is unplayable and a huge chunk of my favorite Google Play games won't work either! The two Rockstar games I could get to run without crashing (Max Payne and GTA Vice City) have a yellow border around the screen and that's distracting! The older systems just don't look good, GBA and below look super blurry. The good: plays the PS2 Silent Hill games and the Resident Evil games! PSP looks and plays better than my real PSP as long as I avoid God of War and The Force Unleashed. The larger screen makes me want to play this handheld over the rest of my collection. Eventually we'll get a special OS that will fix everything, which is typical Anbernic fashion. The chunkiness is perfect for my big hands!

NIce machine, fairly priced BUT with a few flaws.
The media could not be loaded. UpdateThe seller contacted me and offered a full refund, but since I like the machine a lot, I refused. They still gave a $100 back, which was really nice of them. The Ambernic brand is solid, so I just had some bad luck. But the Seller is not to blame and they made things right! Thank you!!!Nice machine, fairly priced for what I does and can do - BUT the lower right of the screen was not properly glued and it sticks up. I will have to take it to some one who knows what is doing to have it re-glued properly. But I shouldn't have to do that to a new device. Mine came with a very low charged battery. When I plugged it , it wouldn't charge pass 45%, This will be fixed once you run the software update. But the actual update take a lot of time to install and it remains at a 99% for far too long. Just leave it overnight and it will update properly. Asides from that, it is really nice. Streams fine but the R2/L2 are NOT ANALOG buttons. So your Xbox/PS consoles won't recognize them. I'm assuming this will be the same case for game that support analog input on the PC. But I haven't tried it yet.

Waste of Money
The battery is dead and failed to charge with the charger provided on the first day! It looks like I got a used one. Doesn't look like new. I am just holding a dead gaming device now.I wish I had a Chance to return it. It was a BD present for my daughter, but she didn't open it until a month later. It started normally after fully charging it first and then had difficulty in settling it up according to the instruction included. Then the battery went low sooner. I put it on charger looks like it is charging but not charging at all. It remained dead!Upset and frustrated. Nearly $200 waste of money. Moreover, my daughter was sad.I wish I could have listened to one of the prior reviewers who had similar encounter like me.I don't recommend that anyone should go through this. Useless device, waste of money.I am not a kind of person that return items I bought on amazon because I thoroughly review comments/reviews before I purchase. I don't know what happened to me this time.

For those of you who are having charging issues!
When I first powered on the unit, I immediately noticed that the battery life was plummeting. When I plugged it in to charge, the battery percentage would not go up whatsoever. A quick Google search instructed me to open up the back of the unit, unplug the battery and plug it back in. This seems to have fixed it! While this is not a super involved procedure, make sure you are careful with the clips that hold the back onto the unit itself. You don't want to break those. Also, you will need a screwdriver with a T6 Torx bit. Hope this helps!

This thing does it all!
This thing has the capability to do pretty much everything you could want. It’s equipped with an optional “easy” straight forward, front end UI if you find the Android 12 interface to be too overwhelming with options and customization. It easily connects to Wi-Fi and supports OTA updates for the Android and front load side. All systems presented to you as available are definitely playable on this console. It can also stream PC through Moonlight, Steam, Xbox and SHOULD be able to stream from your ps4/ps5 IF you can find a workaround to bypass the “error” message when you try and launch remote play. I have not found this yet, and apparently it’s because Sony recognizes the device as “rooted” so it won’t boot up or stream. That is the only negative I’ve found. The display is amazing, the controls are great, the overall feel of the hardware is very solid and even leaves a better first impression than the higher priced devices, which I’ve also bought, owned and enjoyed. The RG505 is by far my favorite. It can do so much out of the box and has the ability to do even more.

Emulator not working
I liked how the overall design looked and how I could play google play games on it. But when I tried using the emulators first of all, there were no pre installed games on it. Second of all, even though I tried to install any games, I had to buy some kind of card reader and that didn't even work. But if you want to play google play games its a decent product but the emulators kinda suck.

Amazing
At first I did not like it, this is my first emulator system. But I did a bunch of reading to get a better understanding of , os, front end, emulator.. now wow I understand it and so easy to. Customize

AMAZING
this is a great product I loved it so much I had to order one for my kid and he loved it to. It was really easy to set up and enjoy real quick. There’s many games and I mean a ton. Better than other video game consoles where you have to pay for the video games where this one is FREE
