Not a "children's" cookbook exactly
While the recipes are created and prepared by junior chefs, it is not for the novis chef. My 12 year old has loved all the Gordon Ramsey shows since he was little including Masterchef Jr. I was excited to get him this as part of a gift and he enjoyed looking through the recipes. However, I will warn that most of the recipes are more complicated or require a lot of equipment (pressure cooker for example) that not everyone has in their kitchen. We did make the chicken lolly pops twice and he enjoyed those. Since he was cooking for 1, we had plenty of left over sauce which cut down on prep time the second time. We will try some other recipes but likely not going to use this book as often because we don't own all the equipment required to make the dishes.

Great recipe’s and easy directions
My Son loves this book. We watch Master Chef Junior all the time and hes making more foods. Which is hard for him. Hes Autistic but he sees these 8-12 year olds banging out gourmet entrees. Get this book for your kids! Or yourself honestly the recipe’s are epic.

13-year-old LOVES it
My daughter is enjoying this cookbook. She enjoys the MasterChef show and loves to try things in the kitchen. The cupcake photo is one of the recipes in this book. We left off the raspberries but the buttercream icing, cholate cupcake, and caramel creation on top is all from the book.

A bit more advanced than what I thought
This is stuff from the tv show master chef Jr. I didn't realize that. However great recipes, and detailed instructions on them.

Great Fun! My 12 year old son loves it!
My son who is 12, was so excited to use this so we started out with a side and not a main course as he is still learning. We did the Brussel Sprouts and Fennel sir fry and it turned out amazing!!! I will say that most of the ingredients are on the more expensive side so I’m letting him do one recipe every few weeks. It was fun to be in the kitchen with him as it challaged me to learn a few things as well. The instructions are not as detailed as one would expect a child’s cook book to be, but overall it’s beautiful and my kids are excited to taste what they saw on the show. So it’s pretty neat. I would reccomed this book for sure. You just have to be in the kitchen with the kids while they cook when they need help. A new family activity.
