if seems there is more than one product being reviewed here, so let me first start by explaining the product I am reviewing.It is an Omars Micro SD Memory Card Reader Adapter with Lightning Connector. It has a USB 3.0 plug on one side and a lightning adapter on the other. It comes with no memory but accepts micro SD cards of up to 128 GB (per the manufacturer - I've only used 32 and 64GB). The card DOES NOT stick out of the device when in use.I've used a number of similar devices and this one does exactly what it advertises it will do.File transfer from a computer is fast (I copied 6 gigs of files in 3 minutes).When the lighting plug is connected to an iPhone or iPad (I used both) for the first time, the user is asked to download software from the app store. The software is called Witstick. It allows one to backup contacts and upload them to another device or restore them. I'm not sure this is useful as (i) the file it creates can't be read on a computer and (ii) with iCloud backup of contact information and sharing between devices is quite simple.Additionally, the software allows for video playback, although not all file types. I had no issues with MKV, AVI nor MP4 but could not get DIVX files to play.On the audio side I just tested MP3 files and they played fine.Transfer of photos is intuitive and easy.I was also able to copy PDFs to the stick and read them on my phone.The downside to this is the design. It looks nice and feels solid but is clunky to use. I found the "cross" shape made it difficult to insert into my computer. The problem is that the case does not lock into place when it is 90% from the plugs, and if one holds the case (as you sort of have to do if you don't have Trump hands) it moves as you are trying to insert it.Overall, this performed as I expected it should and worked well,. although I would like to see DIVX files work with it.

I've only had for a day but this thing is pretty cool. The apps included with this device work pretty well. It does require a little clicking around to understand how to use it but I found it fairly straight forward. As for people who say they have to remove the case to connect it makes me wonder "How big is their case?" I have a quad lock case and it's pretty thick but the adapter still seats and clicks in securely. I will buy more of these to give to friends I think it will work great for photographers and IT professionals who always need to backup files or keep software with them on a key chain.

I needed something to plug into my iPad so i could view files from my microSD card. I found this and unfortunately didn't read ALL the reviews, this thing is a complete piece of cheap garbage. I put my micro SD card in, plugged it into my iPad then it asked me to download some weird app to view the files, fine so i downloaded the app. I clicked on transfer files to my iPad and it said it did it but after 20 minutes of looking i had no idea where the files got transferred to (it didn't let me provide a destination). Then, icing on the cake, i try to get my microSD card and its stuck! I had to go home and find a needle and carefully work on prying my microSD card out of this piece of junk so i didn't damage my card.This is trash, don't waste your money, many other options out there. Im pissed because i have to take this stupid thing to a UPS store now and deal with wasting time sending it back!

The pivot point is too loose. It should have more friction and require a purposeful bit of effort to swing it out. But it does the job.

IPhone is not easy to use stand alone for photo transfers from phone to a photo print devise or to put a copy on a memory stick for additional copy. I don’t use computer to manage my iPhones. This devise Works Great ! App formats memory chip and you can transfer entire files or individual fotos from phone to backup chip and back to. Phone if you move pictures out of phone to make room for a movie etc.

All these are similar. This one does work as an external document drive on my iPhone 6.

Purchased and received same day 12/24/18. Awesome! Plugged device into my iPhone 7 Plus, downloaded ‘Witstick’ & ‘Witback’ applications, and immediately backed up my phone video, images, and audio files to 128Gb SD card. Transfers was smooth. Aftward plugged USB side into MacBook Air 2015 and xfr data to attached USB Seagate 4TB Drive. SIMPLE!!!

I gave 4 stars because I have to take my phone case off every time before I use it

I bought this device as I planned on shooting a fair amount of 4K video on my iPad Pro. 4K video takes up a lot of space, I also wanted the ability to easily transfer this video for editing. I needed a device that is apple certified as I've used the unofficial stuff in the past and it's a false economy, it always stops working. This is a neat device and quite compact, I like the swivel design which means the connectors are protected when stored and there are no caps to lose. The trade off with this design is that where you have two or more USB ports on your computer close together then when this is plugged in they can be difficult to access as the silver part can obstruct them.I tested this device with several micro SD cards and was happy to find that my 200GB sandisk worked fine, although I found formatting cards from within the app to be unreliable. I have several 32GB "pro" speed cards that I use with my action cam, sandisk extreme and lexar professional, these cards operated at full speed copying to and from my laptop. Copying from the iPad was slower but still perfectly acceptable.Overall this device makes sense for my use, there are flash drives about that are stupidly expensive just because they have an apple lightening connector on them. For my use these are a waste of money, with this device I can have many good quality multi use micro sd cards for the cost of a dedicated flash drive and simply swap them about as needed. If you like me already own one or more micro sd cards then frankly, this is a no brainer. The quality is impressive, if this had an apple logo on it and cost a lot more it would sell.I purchased this product with my own hard earned cash, I have not received anything in exchange for my review. My review is just an honest opinion shared to help others make an informed buying decision

Assez déçu du produit dans la mesure ou je pensais que le format NTFS serait supporté ( fichier de plus de 4 go reconnu ) mais non on est limité au FAT32 fichier de moins de 4 go ( films hd au revoir)Mais pourquoi aucune clé de ce type ne supporte le NTFS ?????mise à jour le 26 04Après une première utilisation la clé n'est plus détectée par mon iPad air ou mon iPhone 7 .Après plusieurs échange avec le vendeur ( très pro et toujours dispo ) il est convenu d'un remboursement.je mets donc 4 étoile pour la qualité du SAV mais l'objet en lui même ne mérite plus de 1 étoile ou alors je n'ai pas de chance.une mise a jour de l 'application pourrait peut être régler le souci.

J'avais rédigé un commentaire qui a été effacé par la censure peut être parce que je parlais du modèle de mon smartphone à la pomme... sinon je ne vois pas trop pourquoi... je voulais que vous sachiez que ce petit concepteur a réussi à faire un produit super utile car handicapé par le logiciel de la marque à la pomme pour gérer mes vidéos et photos je voulais le cas échéant libérer de la mémoire de mon smartphone à mémoire de 16 go. Ayant une carte mémoire de 64 go (je manipule drones et caméras de surveillance) j'ai acheté ce produit avec méfiance ne connaissant pas du tout le vendeur. Je n'ai pas été déçu au contraire très agréablement surpris par ce produit très simple d'utilisation, la notice est envoyé par mail quelques jours avant ou après la vente, le contact avec le vendeur est très cool. Voilà super content de mon achat qui me permet d'à la fois purger mes photos et vidéos de mon téléphone portable et éventuellement en remettre avec une capacité supérieure de stockage. Pour ma part il a trouvé sa place dans mon petit porte monnaie !

Di memorie USB non ce n'è mai abbastanza, questa mi permette di aumentare la capacità semplicemente inserendo una microSD di capacità superiore (attualmente uso una SanDisk da 64GB)Inoltre posso condividere il contenuto con il mio iPhone e iPad, scambiare velocemente foto e video con altri dispositivi iOS, salvare le foto direttamente sulla memoria, portare con me foto, musica e video risparmiando spazio sul telefono.Utilissima anche per chi (come me) è appassionato di fotografia, e vuole spedire o condividere "al volo" i propri scatti: tolgo la SD dalla reflex, la metto nella chiavetta collegata all'iPhone, apro l'App e via!Nota di merito al design, molto carino ed elegante, la microSD si inserisce perfettamente ed è ben fissata all'interno.La quinta stella però non posso metterla per via dell'App legata al dispositivo: non è male, fa tutto quello che deve fare, ma andrebbe un po' rivista e aggiornata, o ampliata con altri servizi.
