Works fine but could be better
I bought these Mibro countersinks specifically to countersink 5 holes in my new Kreg router table insert plate. Total accuracy was required to prevent trashing the insert plate and forking out an additional $70 for a 2nd new insert plate.I could have paid Kreg forty bucks, sent them my router template, and they would have drilled and countersunk each hole for me. (plus a 2 week delay) Instead, I chose to use that money to buy tools I could keep, like these Mibro countersinks. They did the job just fine but with more effort than I expected. It seemed as if they were not sharp enough and had difficulty countersinking in the phenolic material. I needed to pause drilling several times because the material and/or countersinks were actually smoking, even though I didn't force the tool.Overall, my insert plate holes with countersinks were flawless. (used a drill press) I'm sure the Mibro countersinks would work fine in wood - never in steel. This is why I gave them the benefit of doubt with a grade of 4 stars. One last thing ... it would be nice if Mibro had included a storage bag or case, like what's included with most drill bit sets (eg: Dewalt) instead of having these loose in my toolbox. I would have gladly paid extra.Your mileage may vary,Jeff

"Shot's E-Juice and Vape Zone" REVIEW!
Great little package of countersink bits, ESPECIALLY for the price, I just couldn't pass them up! The sizes are perfect for what I use them for, which is just cleaning up small holes in Stainless, Aluminum, etc. I only drill about 4mm holes, TOPS, so its a great set for what I DO. If you're planning on running these A TON, I would look for something else. That's the only reason I didn't give it ★★★★★, is because the bits get dull pretty quick. It's not a huge deal though, as I re-sharpen them with my Dremel. Not terrible, but it IS a small flaw!***

Ehhh...
They're okay, not great, just okay. They made it a difficult task for me to drill in the phenolic plate of my router table, but hey, they did get the job done. They don't seem very sharp, so that was a downer, and I think the main problem. If you need a cheap solution, carry on smartly.

Works well.....but a bit slow
These work very well as a wood countersink but the cutting is surprisingly slow. Still, unless you're constructing a deck with a thousand screws, this should work just fine. Quality is good for this economically priced set.

Dull ...and off center?
First, as noted, they are remarkably dull. They are duller than the single flute, 1/2" countersink I inherited from my grandfather, and it is at least 55 years old and has been used on countless woodworking projects. In trying them out I thought I noticed that they were cutting off center to the drilled hole. I thought maybe with a single flute it was natural for a countersink to cut off center, although I had never noticed that before with my old countersink.I did an experiment. Using my drill press, I drilled a series of 7/32" holes in a scrap of fir board. Then I countersinked the holes with the four largest Mibros and my grandfather's countersink. I inserted the shank of the 7/32" drill into the holes as a reference to measure the countersink edges against. I measured with a digital caliper. All the Milbro countersinks were off center more than my grandfather's. The larger the countersink the larger the offset. The countersink cut by the Milbro 1/2" (the most comparible one) was off center by .0065. My grandfather's was .0015 off center. To do all this properly I should have gone on to do a series of holes with the 1/2" countersinks and run some statistics, but I saw enough to convince me that there is something goofy about the Milbros. An offset of .0065" doesn't sound like much, but I noticed it originally with the naked eye.As a further testament to the dullness of these things, even though I am Mr. Slow when driving a cutting tool, I had to drive the 3/4" bit really hard to get it to full diameter. I burned my fingers when I picked it up 3 to 5 minutes after I had used it. (Knowing it would be hot for a while, I had dropped it out of the drill press onto a board without touching it.) And the wood just wasn't all that hard.Bottom line, they aren't worth the $9.53 I paid for them. A tool that doesn't do the job isn't worth it even if you get it for free.

these work great. no problems or issues.
I'll begin this review by saying, I do not get paid for this or even get free stuff from amazon. Just a normal dad buying stuff online and writing honest reviews. I won't hold back on my review if it sucks and often update my reviews as time goes on. I hate buying something and finding out after it was a bad purchase and full of phony reviews.these work great. no problems or issues.

Worth the Money
I bought these on a whim and they are awesome. They are really sharp and make smooth holes. I will offer this suggestion, when you get them only cut off the sides of the package so you can still use the package as storage for them. These do not come with a case, so unless you want them rolling free I would be careful opening the package.

Nice to have on hand, but if you plan on using often, GET A BETTER BIT!!!
So here's why I gave 3 stars:These are super average bits that suck as far as drilling countersinks, but do the job eventually.Let me explain. Do the make a countersink? Yes. That said, you have to apply a lot of pressure and be extremely patient as the cutting edge is not sharp at all and there's no way to clear the debris. I rarely make a countersink, but I just wanted these on hand. In testing, though it took around 10 seconds with the middle bit to make a countersink in soft pine. That's disappointing and I will probably get frustrated if I have to make more than a dozen countersinks at one time and end up buying a good bit locally.
