This net worked well for me
It seems strong enough. It was a little tight for a large round bale but it did fit. 2 weeks in and it is still intact. It has cut the amount of wasted hay WAY back.

Waste of time and money *updated*
This might be the worst hay net I have ever used. At the very least they last me a season of wear and tear, and that’s out in the elements, if not longer. This was used under shelter and stayed dry yet it is falling apart after a handful of uses. My horses are not chewing through the net itself.. it’s been falling apart simply from the act of them pulling hay through it.Not only is it of poor quality, but it’s also ridiculously tangly and frustrating to ‘open’ and KEEP open as you pull it down over the bale. Hated the design of the closure and opening- the strands that the rope runs through have giant gaping holes no matter how tight you tighten it. Which is a hazard and defeats the purpose of the hay net, and is just all tangly and frustrating to use. It’s as if the design was taken off a smaller hanging net and just made larger. Those work fine for hanging hay nets but 100% not useful for on the ground, larger nets. The material of the rope is also ridiculously frustrating to use, it’s really tough which is good for the sake of durability but it’s also super stiff and doesn’t move through the net well. All in all, I have other hay nets I’ve purchased for the same price and they are a million times more effective than this one. It’s not a matter of it being a cheap option. 🤷🏻♀️ Seems as though the manufacturer skimped on quality of materials & product design.I’m returning it. I just wish I could get all the time I’ve wasted being frustrated with this hay net back.Update after writing this review: it is also unsafe to use while blanketing horses with the twist-together type chest clasps. In 24 hours I’ve had both of my horses get caught on the hay net, set back and effectively shred their blankets from the chest out. I’ve never had them get caught on anything else before like this. The other hay nets I’ve used haven’t been an issue. I’m pretty confident it’s the plastic stringy type material that is the problem. This is not the right material to use on hay nets that horses can get hung up on.

Great for saving wasted hay
I’m not sure how many times it took to Girl in the video to completely have success, putting the slow eater on the Haybale. My husband and I enjoyed many laughs a few swearword, and finally accomplished what we were trying to do. The only problem is they are hard to use until you get used to them and then you have to go out each day and re-tighten them because the horses will make their way down through the middle and then make that hole if it’s still big, they’ll just eat out of the hole.Product overall works well, it gives them more to do than just eat and lay in there how old Hay, there should be like 15 instructional videos on how to do this. Lol we hit it about three out of four times.

Ripped after the 3rd bale
Great idea but definitely not quality. We bought multiple and have the same issue with all of them. The drawstring rips through the net. At this rate these won't last through the summer. I'm going to have to do some work tying them back together.

Durability
I like this product is easy to use! I have had this net since June 14th and used it three times. I have already had to fix holes in several spots!! I have 4 horses and a pony and they are just pulling it apart!!!! You will see light blue twine where I repaired it..

Waiting to see
I am using these nets on round bales and so far have been please. It was a learning process to figure out the best way to put them on. I remove the hay netting on the fork of the tractor and place the hay net around the far end and guide it around to the other side. You need to make sure you have all of it pass the end before putting on the ground. It is easy to pull up and tighten the end and tie the knot and put behind the netting. I would not recommend it for horses with shoes. They may get a shoe hung in the net.

impressive for the price
the net doesn't look strong but I think it may hold a bit. it is light and elastic so quite easy to install. can probably fit a small 5ft. fit easy on a 4ft. I use it has a 2nd net to old the ball as my 2nd on is huge.

Reduce wastage and time
Fab net. Covers a 4ft bale with ease. Instead of making up haynets every day for my horses, I put a whole bale in the shelter with the net on. As the bale reduces in size just use the very generous rope to thread through the net to pull the net tighter. I'll admit once the bale gets to the point you can pick it up and easily move, I put it in a sheep hay feeder for the alpacas to finish. But if only horses I'd put in a manger or smaller hay net.2nd bale in this net and no holes. Both horses are unshod. My friesian has no front teeth and then I have a old pony. So prob why no holes. It's a good quality net. But a aggressive eater will prob put holes in.Just brought another for my alpaca's, sheep hurdles will be put round the bottom of it as an alpaca leg could get caught up in it, but other than that, I suspect it will be just as good.

Better than i expected
Fit over my standard large round bales well. Works better than I was expecting for the price. Holes are not slow feeder size but works to keep the hay wastage down and is durable. It's made of a synthetic material(nylon?) that Does NOT freeze up in winter like the haynets made out of sailing twine. I would give this a solid recommendation if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the more expensive ones
