Bosch2609256051 Polishing Sponge for Random Orbit Sander with Diameter 125mm

I purchased this to use on my Bosch PEX 400 AE, but it will work on any 125mm sander with a hook & loop system.I primarily wanted this to polish out fine scratches and blemishes on my car and some tabletops with wax, prior to finishing with a lambswool.It works great, and as the foam is about 13mm thick, it moulds itself over uneven surfaces.However, it's very hard to justify the high price for what is literally a circular piece of foam with some felt backing attached.It would cost Bosch a small fraction of the asking price to manufacture it.But it is of reasonable quality and works well.A word of caution, when polishing don't use a high speed as it will heat up too much and burn the wax or compound.G'Day from Australia.

Worked very well polishing my car - A damn sight less work using the orbital sander to buff up a showroom gloss on the paintwork. My only gripe is the cost of the item as way overpriced.

If you have a standard 125mm Bosch Orbital Sander, this polishing sponge simply attached itself by means of the velcro backing - in the same way as your normal rubbing paper attaches itself. It stays on well too when polishing, and is sufficiently robust (without being abrasive) to quickly polish large areas. I used it to restore some perspex car headlight lenses, and it did a fantastic job using just t-cut rubbing compound. All in all this sponge is great, and turns a sander into a proper polisher.

Used to T Cut paint on old narrow boat. Did the job well. I bought 2 thinking it would wear out but no such problem. Did both sides of a 60 foot boat with the one pad and it is still in good nick.

Useful pad. As it is Bosch it is not the cheapest but does work.

A very well made sponge that attaches quickly and easily to the Bosch Random Orbit sander. Perfect for polishing large areas.

Used this with paste to buff up a kitchen worktop, need a 320 grade for deeper scratches.
