The Gamulus Charging Dock is a first-rate product. It arrived in a nice package, appropriate for a gift. These days so many products come with little or no instructions. I was pleased to find that the Gamulus Charging Dock has clearly written and illustrated instructions. The unit charges both the headset and the controllers. It is necessary to replace the controller batteries with a set of custom rechargeable batteries. The controller battery cover must also be replaced with a custom battery cover. This allows the controllers to nest horizontally in the base of the unit and charge continuously. The controller cradles have magnets that securely grab the controllers and hold them in the perfect position for charging. I am not sure how this system would work with grips.A USB-C Magnetic Connector is supplied for the headset. Charging is accomplished by a magnetic charging cable. The station easily accommodates the Elite Strap or an OEM strap with or without a supplemental battery.The controllers, as mentioned above, are stored horizontally in cradles on the base and the headset is balanced smartly on a pedestal yielding a smaller footprint (8” wide X 5” deep) for this charging unit than most competing products. There are lights on the front of the base to indicate the charging status of each controller and the headset.The back of the base has a USB-C charging input. You must supply your own charging cable and wall adapter. Also at the back of the base is a single USB-C output port for the headset magnetic charging cable. Color changing LED lights seem to be standard fare for Oculus charging stations and the Gamulus is no exception.The Gamulus Charging Dock for Meta Quest 2 is well designed and is by far the best unit of its kind that I have come across so far.

The early versions of Oculus, Quest 1 and Go, were pretty draining on the handset batteries. I'd install one and it would quickly run out in a couple of days. Quest 2 doesn't have this issue at all and the batteries on the handset can go for quite a long time. In light of that, having a charging system that comes with rechargeable controller batteries is kind of a "nice to have" rather than a must. However, you can't deny the convenience that it offers, which is exactly what this Gamulus dock offers...When using the Gamulus dock and its batteries, your controllers gain the capability to charge magnetically, similar to what you have with your iPhone or iWatch or its Android equivalents. For me though, the best feature is simply having all the components in one easy-to-pick up spot in the room. I'm an older user, so I never cared for any RGB lighting action in keyboards and other devices, and it's not something use in this dock either. Right now, my Quest 2 is either resting on this dock or in its 3rd party hard case when I'm not using it.

For anyone who uses the headset with a traditional head strap and controllers without any addons then this charger will work amazingly well for you. Even if you use third party head straps so long as they are just straps and don't have their own battery packs. The reason for this is that to take full use of this chargers convenience you have to use the included replacement battery covers on the controllers and a little device that makes your headset charge with a magnetic connector.I have a head strap with extra battery pack so I can't use the magnetic connector and I have grip covers on my controllers so I can't use the battery covers this unit utilizes. Because of these reasons this just becomes a stand for my headset. Everything fits on it but I can't utilize the convenient charging features. Now this is my choice and not a design flaw. For those who don't use all the extras I do then this would make a fantastic charger. I did test the magnetic connection and as soon as you lay the headpiece down it auto connects and starts charging. The controllers are easy to lay in their chargers. Making this truly a very nice option for charging if it will work for you.The lighting options were very limited and there was not a setting for a solid light (at least not one I found anyway). There is an option for the light to be off which personally is how I would have used it cause I really am not a fan of the breathing light mode.Anyway if this fits how you use your quest then I would definitely recommend. It is fairly small in size and works very well. Setup was super easy and the product was very simple to use.

I purchased this stand on February 22nd, was delivered the 24th. Today is April 12th. I went to put my Oculus on, and it was at 18% battery. Which means, over the last week (I haven't been on in a while) the oculus had been draining it's battery (turned off, mind you). I figured, maybe the magnetic tip wasn't contacting properly? Unfortunately, this was not the case. I tried with a known good USB-C cable that goes from the stand, to the oculus, and no power. Which means, in less than 2 months, the port going from the stand, to the oculus, went bad and stopped working. Oculus charges fine by itself. Stand does not move, and has not had any liquids or anything near it. Thankfully, Amazon offered a refund, so I can hunt for a better quality stand.as for everything else, it was fine. unfortunately, the main reason I got it doesn't work, which is why the product is getting a low review.

Todo está muy bien solo quisiera saber si pasa algo si lo dejo conectado durante largos periodos, (lo uso aprox cada 2 días) o lo debería desconectar? Llegó antes de lo planeado y en perfecto estado
