I don’t think there is a better option under $200 on the AM5 socket. This processor is pretty chill in terms of temperature (while gaming), but it delivers excellent performance on any task. It’s not the best processor out there, but it’s an excellent starting point for this socket. It comes with a cooler that is good enough in the box so you can save on it. I’m delighted with it

I paired this with a rx 6600 gpu. I’ve had my pc for about a month now. I’ve been running higher graphics on fortnite and shaders and heavy mods on minecraft, Everything runs really well with very little to no lag. I have a thermalright fan cooler on it and the highest my temps get are 78° (only for a sec, until my fans cool it down again). My parts aren’t top of the line so I didn’t expect to run my mods and shaders on mc as well as I do, but compared to my crusty dusty 6 yrs old xbox one my pc runs so smooth and fast!

Great for its price point, handles every game I throw at it, including large strategy games that are CPU intensive.The only thing I would critique is the stock cooler, man that thing is trash, I was getting pretty high temps while just at idle with it, had to upgrade to a dual tower for this CPU because not only is the stock cooler not very good, this CPU runs hot!

Well, after being sold a defective 7950x3D Ryzen CPU, I hurriedly got this in order to do a bench test before return windows closed. Well, this 7600 worked right out of the box, and I was able to return the dead 7950x3D. However, that's not the end. So I have a gigabyte x870 Aorus Elite mobo, DDR5 64gb RAM and a Sapphire Nitro+ with 24g on it, 7900 XTX. With this 7600 CPU, I am unable to top out frame rates on Unreal 5 test environments. Haven't done much video processing work yet, but so far am unclear whether I'll need the pricier CPU in the future. Will hold off on the upgrade for now, this CPU works great.

Good CPU for a mid range gaming rig. Stable, reliable, and good performance. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the stock cooler - you will get better cooling and performance with an aftermarket option - worth spending the extra few bucks.

Great all-round CPU. Nice that it came with its own cooler, but I opted for a bigger one, and I would recommend doing the same.
