These babies really work!
The media could not be loaded. First bought 2 cameras in Dec 2022. Also purchased 2 solar panels separately. Charged the cameras, then installed the VicoHome app on my tablet. Got the cameras paired with the app - no problems. Initially, I purchased the cameras to watch the stray cats coming around. Live in a rural area and had also have coyotes to deal with. I had placed the cameras in a variety of locations, before deciding I needed 2 more. Purchased 2 more a month later. The cameras are located:1. Cat's room. I have a male TNR (Trap,Neuter,Release) that appeared 5 yrs ago. He has tried to kill my female (she appeared 10 yrs ago), so he is kept in his own room and let out, via window, every afternoon, when I bring the female in. I've watched a few stray cats that appeared 7 months ago, enter his room, eat his food, lay on the bed - mostly at night. Yet the videos are clear as day. Camera running on battery. Charge lasts several months.(Honestly have only plugged it in twice since purchase) 2. Under the house. I have a food and water dish under the house for the strays, protected them in the winter from the cold. Dark under there. The camera works just fine. Can see which cat shows up when. Also helped to spot a water pipe breakage. Camera plugged in to outlet that's also under the house.3. Chicken pen. Got more chicks and noticed that area was a traffic run for the coyotes. Will watch the footage to gauge when the coyotes show up. Camera hooked up to a small solar panel. Retains full charge constantly.4. On flatbed trailer. Placed at the opposite end of the property (300 yards from house/wifi). To watch for coyotes or other animal visitors (caught neighbor's dog on it the other day). Has provided awesome sunset shots. Had a massive storm recently - watched the nickel sized hail bounce off the ground. Camera unscathed. Camera hooked up to a small solar panel. Retains full charge constantly.-I don't have any of the cameras mounted. Though will do the chicken pen camera as the weeds are growing to obscure its line of sight. The cameras outside have weathered snow, wind, hail, rain, and heat. Still performing wonderfully.- I personally love the picture quality. Daylight scenes, obviously, show more detail and distance. Nighttime is still quite clear, though the distance is reduced. Unless rain or dirt covers the lens. Has happened. Wipe off and good to go.- Motion detection is usually good though can be wanting. Have watched Romeo come into the bedroom from the window but never seen him leave. I've walked in the cat's bedroom and it's recorded me at the far end and leaving but not walking in. Has happened a few times but is generally great at motion capture. Hence 4 of 5 stars.- The sound is exceptionally clear and loud. The two-way sound works great. I've spoken my husband through one and could hear him clearly responding back.- I didn't pay for the subscription - I just use the free service with the VicoHome. I get 3 days of 20 secs videos that I can download. They automatically get stored in the Google picture gallery. You set up the videos record segments yourself. Determine the length of the video (20 secs is longest), Motion detection (low, med, high), record in SD or HD, alert notifications (because of the chickens moving constantly, I turned off the notifications. Got one every 20 secs), have light activated or not. There is a button to press for a white light to come on. I used that to see the water leak under the house in better detail.- Each camera is listed by video window on the app. An icon will show you if there are motion detected videos to watch per camera. Not sure what else to say except that I'm purchasing more to place on the house. Had a coyote howl outside the kitchen window last night and haven't seen Romeo or Zoreh since. Hopefully, I'll see them on the camera under the house tonight or tomorrow.Videos/photo: 1. Coyote at chicken pen 2. BrightEyes and Zoreh under the house 3. Outside daylight from flatbed trailer.

Amazing Battery Life
I love these little battery operated cameras! I have motion sensor set at 10 second record, 2 minute cooldown, and have quite a bit of activity from wildlife. Yet the charge lasts sometimes up to a month (yes really!!)They are simple to set up and I place them pretty far from the house but still get internet connection. I use a variety of camera holders (small rubber tripod stands, spiders for trees or windows, etc.One caution - the raccoons are attracted to (or annoyed by) the sound or light and they will abscond with them if they are too easily accessible.

Changed from 1* to 4* I do recommend for budget
The media could not be loaded. *** UPDATED REVIEW*** 1/18/25I changed my review from 1 star to 4 for a few different reasons. First off, Vico or Google did refund me for the auto renewal fee that I had cancelled a couple days before I was charged.I believe VicoHome(the name of the actual cameras & app) has done some updates that have greatly improved these inexpensive cameras. I currently have 4 going at 2 different locations and am adding more to 3 other properties soon. The reasons are because with some adjustments to the settings these are very good cameras. I'll include a couple recent clips. 1 is a couple of people who keep trespassing through my property with their off-leash dogs. This camera is located in the mountains of Carbondale Colorado where it's VERY cold & pretty windy. It's amazing these cameras can operate wirelessly on a rechargeable battery in freezing temperatures for weeks on end even months on end without a recharge. There is a battery indicator on the app for each camera to let you know how much power is left in each one. The videos that we get are in great clarity. It is true if you have the free monitoring plan it will only record 20 seconds at a time, But with the premium plan you can record as long as movement is detected up to 3 minutes. I went ahead and got the annual unlimited device plan which was $105 for a year with again unlimited amounts of cameras. Each one is listed individually on the app and it's very easy to navigate. You can set the settings that you want individually for each camera based on that camera's location and your needs. You can adjust the sensitivity of the camera from low medium and high it's defaulted to medium but I like it on high for my outdoor cameras on my country property where there isn't many people or vehicles driving by. At my apartment I have it set on medium so it doesn't pick up unnecessary movements from vehicles and blowing tree branches. I think the people that are having the biggest issues probably are on the free plan and the free plan is rather frustrating. But again I believe in my experience that the paid premium plan of $105 a year for unlimited cameras is a very good deal being that you can have unlimited cameras on the plan. Also you can add other people to your account and assign them specific locations they can get notifications on. For instance for my elderly parents they don't need to see all of my cameras but the ones that will be set up at their house they will have access to those. These cameras do have very loud alarms you can activate and you can two-way talk to people and it is very loud and clear as well. The one fault and the reason this is only four stars is because the device is still don't quite start recording early enough in my opinion. There should be a quicker reaction time like there is with blink cameras. Other than that they're pretty great!Prior, 1 star review I had given...After buying & actively using 4 different camera/security systems, BLINK is the way to go. Initially I thought VicoHome was great but then I realized the biggest & a MAJOR failure of VicoHome is it does record the second or a few seconds before the movement begins. I have a VicoHome set up over my apartment parking lot along with a Blink & the VicoHome doesn't catch the vehicle until it's gone by & I can't see whom it was. It doesn't pick up the license plate & it isn't clear enough to see the driver.ALSO-VICO contact me if you want me to change this, I had CANCELLED the auto renewal subscription in beginning of October so I was VERY surprised to see a $50+ charge through my Google account on the 15th. I am POSITIVE I cancelled it! So I tried to find a way to contact VicoHome to speak to them about showing them the PROOF I had cancelled & refund & it's impossible! I can't find an email or phone # anywhere which led me to believe this company is definitely not US based.Note: I can only post one video per review so I can't show you a close-up video from the front of my apartment of somebody walking by but I'll share a screenshot. It works very good for the apartment.PASS on VICOHOME!

Not bad for $25
Definitely worth the price. No subscription needed. Paid $25 for it. It only records up to 20 seconds without subscription. Extremely clear. Even able to read a license plate zoomed all the way in (slow moving vehicle); as long as it's angled correct and has proper lighting. Also able to recognize a face zoomed in. Took me several weeks of fine tuning however to get it that way.Foot traffic must be walking directly towards the camera to trigger it!

Love, Love.
I love this camera. It has a nice picture. Solar panel works perfectly. Most of all I love that it does not require a subscription.

EXCELLENT CAMERAS FOR THE PRICE!
IF YOU’RE CONTEMPLATING BUYING THESE, DO IT. These cameras are of great quality. They are Solar powered & have yet to let me down. You can use the free video feature only if you want & it’s still good enough to see what caused motion. I already have 2 & will keep adding these until the entire property is covered. I attached pictures for you to see the quality of it. That’s a possum running through my carport… 🫣
