The media could not be loaded. NOTE; I did follow the pre-heat instructions, but it takes 2-3 minutes, I waited over 3 minutes and the red light never turned green. Since the waiting “pre-heat time is long, and for the sake of the video, I showed only the on part of it.As many other reviews, I’m so disappointed. The video attached shows how it is plugged in, turns on, sets the timer, beeps, red light doesn’t turn green, and I can touch it as it’s completely cold.I have had this machine for less than two months and have only used it 3 or 4 times, trying to make at least one card, but I was not able to, despite of following instructions by the T. I’m in the process of making cards for an Art faire in October and I was so excited to have the foilpress to give a more professional look to my cards. I went to start it yesterday and it will not work. Turns on but will not heat. Have tried several times, going through the instructions and videos to see what the issue could be, it lights the start up, goes thru the timer process, but never heats up, although it allows me to set a the temperature, but it doesn’t heat up. Of course the 30 day return policy is past due. The worse part is that I also purchased the Gemini II to be able to use the foilpress, now I’m not sure if I should invest in a completely new system, like Spellbinder or a laminator, but I’ll need to get a toner (laser) printer too, and can’t afford it right now.

This was an unfortunate thing for me. I was wanting a hot foil machine but hadn’t narrowed down what to get yet. My husband surprised me with this for Christmas. I think I would love it if I had the die cut machine it works with. I have a sizzix big shot, this accessory does not work with that machine. It only works with the genie die cut machine which is absolutely not in my budget to purchase anytime soon. So this item for me will stay in the box for whoever knows how long. I would say, if you don’t have the die cut machine that uses this hot foil plate, don’t purchase this first. That being said, I can’t tell you if it’s great or not because I can’t use it. It does come with everything you need to start using it right out of the box though if you are ready for it.

The foil that came with it was a bit messed up but the machine works perfectly.

Was so excited to get this but sadly it will not work with my spellbinders platinum 6 this unit will only work with the Gemini die cutting embossing machine

This product did not work. It would never heat up and Crafters Companion refused to repair or replace it. Buy the spellbinder one. It actually works.
