Will this filter remove copper?

We have had the filter tested for removIng heavy metals (lead & mercury) but not copper. We feel pretty good about copper since it can be easily removed with a filter like this. We will get it tested. Thanks for the question.

How does one know it is time to replace the filter?

It just says Average Filter Life: 12+ months, so I'd replace it at least once a year with normal use (or probably sooner with high usage)

does this remove microplastics?

The filter is not certified for removal of microplastics . Our in-house testing shows that it achieves a reduction but not enough to be certified for the removal of microplastics

Does this filter remove arsenic as well?
