this vent screen net is handy and easy to install once figured out that spreader bar just holds the mesh down via gravity. The pictures are minimalist and look like the spreader bar might fit over the grate itself, but it doesn't. My wife was ready to return it until I figured out the spreader bar is just dropped into the bottom of the mesh to hold it down.

Our main return vents are on the floor right under our dog bowl station. These work perfect to collect the excess dog hair so the furnace filter is t working overtime.

It is excellent for homes in hot - humid areas where outside critters like to make home when temperatures drop and have easy excess through duct system. It has made huge difference!!

We have a small house with kids and shedding pets. Our floor registers can get a lot of traffic. After having our ducts replaced, the owner of the company offered to drill in a mesh wire screen so we can easily clean out any pet hair or legos…and protect our new investment from getting dirty. I remembered seeing a similar concept on Amazon and quickly found this item. The backstory of its development made me feel confident that this was the exact brand to try out. Our registers are in 3 sizes, only two of which are made by this seller. I bought both, along with a larger size from another vendor. They arrived the next day and we popped them in. It couldn’t have been a more simple install. They sit flat on the floor cutout and the register just fits right over them. The black mesh of the liners helps conceal any metallic portion of the new ducting (we had to go full metal since flex failed twice in the last 8 years). The wire liner at the bottom weighs them down perfectly. I’m thrilled!!!! The other brand for our larger ducts was embarrassing in comparison. So much so I hope to write the company and beg for the production of a larger 6x14 size. Oh, and they’re completely silent while the system is running and do not seem to obstruct airflow whatsoever. If you’re on the fence, please try them. I’m so impressed!

Such a great idea, and I wish I knew about this product earlier (before our son dropped multiple toys into the vent…)!The weighted bottom is extra nice, which makes this product much better than the other similar ones.

These are so flimsy anything sharp will cut right through them..Not worth the price..
