Strong and rugged bumper, perfect fit!

Excellent deal, now that they seem to be on sale. You can fit it to a jl or jlu by drilling two holes on top of frame for the winch plate and enlarging the holes on the front of the frame slightly so you can reach the two holes you drilled with the nut on a strap things they give you. I clearanced the rear of the bumper with a grinder about an eighth so it wouldn't rub the grill. Don't know if all winches will fit but you could also space the factory frame forward what you need and just drill the two holes in the frame accordingly for the winch plate. Factory Rubicon halogen fog lights fit perfect. Takes longer to get the factory bumper off and the fog lights wiring harness out of it than install this, so plan on a good 3 hours. I made a cheap license plate bracket out of some scrap angle I had and used the overrider bolts to secure it.

Installed this my self last night, its a straight forward process but the included instructions leave a lot to the imagination.The bumper feels solid I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality although to be honest, I have nothing to compare it to accept the stock bumper which is of minimal quality.There is a powder coat finish and while it ads a nice texture, it does seem a little brittle and I could see how it could cause a problem down the line however I am not in a rust prone climate and even if it did, I quick spray can would fix it.One note and this is more of a personal opinion, the smaller bumper really accentuates the fenders. Now my fenders look huge and need to look into reducing them.PS, I see what you did there Rugged Ridge. Make the center piece so affordable you have to get it, then make your profit on all the attachments. clever RR, clever :)

This bumper looks awesome and it was fairly easy to install. I put it on my 2013 Jeep Jk, the directions were like directions that you get from ikea, short and not very descriptive. The directions were designed for two bumpers that RR makes, this and the XHD. It said that I had to rotate the air pump, which was not the case. After 30 minutes of frustration and thinking I was missing a part, we did some research through various forums and found that we did not need to rotate the air pump. After that debacle, install required attaching the factory fog lights and wrenching in 8 bolts. The bumper looks amazing and it is very cost effective, allowing you to upgrade add-ons later.

The reason for four stars is I can't give anything made in China 5 stars but that being said the bumper looks great easy install the only problem I had was the bar did not come with brackets for lights on it so I just drooled three holes into the winch cover and it worked out fine

Awesome bumper! Customizations are key for this thing....mini striker, end caps, bull bar, winch plate, etc.. It feels very sturdy and was relatively simple to install. Took about 1-2hrs by myself with just simple hand tools. Overall I'm very satisfied with this bumper! No need to pay twice as much for a high end brand, this thing rocks!

This bumper is awesome for the money - well built and easy to install. Took about two and a half hours to remove old bumper and get this one in place (using basic hand tools). *You do not need to move vacuum pump on 2015 Wrangler; I think the pump may only need to be moved if you are installing the winch plate. Finished product looks great

Love the stubby look! Hated the stock bumper! I’m more into low profile bumpers so this is exactly what I wanted...

I installed this front bumper by myself on my JK, including Stubby Ends & Double X-Striker last week.All the parts arrived in perfect condition (I was impressed with the amount of wrapping). And the end result looks amazing!It’s not a complicated install, however it did take some time (I’m sure I could have reduced the assembly & install time to about 2 hours if I had a second set of hands helping me out). The instructions are a bit vague, but it’s definitely not impossible to figure out. TIP: If you’re not installing the winch option, then you don’t have to relocate the vacuum pump (this will save you a lot of time).
