I’d like to set the record straight - what it does it is exceptional value for money!
If you are thinking of buying this and have read the reviews saying that the instructions are indecipherable, that everything is in poor English, this camera is difficult to set up, the connection is unstable, you can only link one device to it, it’s impossible to change the time – I’d like to set the record straight.I have had this camera for one day and already think it’s a bargain product. The picture is clear; the sound from camera to app is good – although somewhat crackly, the voice playback from app to camera is a bit tinny but audible! The night vision is very clear. It basically does what it says on the tin, and for £20 something and what it does it is exceptional value for money. I have connected at home, from work Wi-Fi, and on the road on 4G with no issues at all.Debunked- the instructions are indecipherable:The instructions take you as far as physically setting up the device e.g. plugging the power cable in, mounting it on the base, downloading the app, creating an account and connecting the camera to the app. I am a pedant about proper English and I found them easy to follow. The instructions don’t explain how the app works – presumably they expect users to have some basic conception of how apps work and that they will fiddle about with it until it works the way they want it to. I will get to this later to help those who can’t figure it out!Debunked - this camera is difficult to set up:The camera set up is pretty much plug and play. You need to connect the camera to your OWN Wi-Fi and input YOUR Wi-Fi password / passkey etc. via the app. You do not need to use “their” Wi-Fi, as suggested by another reviewer, tbh I don’t even know what that means! It then takes some navigating around the app.Debunked - the connection is unstable:The camera’s internet connection is as stable as YOUR Wi-Fi connection (in your home / office wherever your camera is set up). If your Wi-Fi is unstable, slow etc. your camera will be too – obviously. My internet isn’t the fastest, and therefore sometimes playback is a bit jumpy. This only relies on your Wi-Fi wherever the camera is.When using your device e.g. iPhone, Android, Tablet etc. to connect remotely to the camera it relies on your DEVICE’S internet connection – your camera is still at home/office happily connected to your home/office Wi-Fi. If your device’s connection is slow, unreliable etc. e.g. on 4G / roaming etc. then it will struggle to connect to your camera.Debunked - you can only link one device to it.False. Only one “account” can be connected to it. You create an account when you download the app. You can log into the app, with the same account, from as many devices as you like. The same as you can with any app e.g. PayPal / Facebook etc. – one account, many devices.Debunked - Unable to change the time:The app takes some navigating, but there is a setting under “Function Settings” which says “Time Zone” – you can change this and then the timestamp on recordings will change – I assume the date is set from your device e.g. iPhone, Android, Tablet. The App:The first screen when opening the app shows a screen with menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner with the location next to it e.g. Home; a message (envelope) button in the top right corner; the date below; & your current setting for where YOU are e.g. Standard, Home, Out of Home. Underneath is the link to the camera.Clicking the menu button (three horizontal lines) takes you to another screen.Location Switch Over – this is to switch between devices in different locations, e.g. if you had a camera at home, one in your office, one at your holiday home etc. you can set the location name under function settings (I’ll get to that).Account – these are your account settings e.g. email, phone number etc.Settings – These are the app settings only e.g. notifications and alert sounds etc.Feedback – self-explanatory.Help – self-explanatory.Clicking the message (envelope) button takes you to another screen showing your notifications. This is where you’re notified of motion detection and recordings.Clicking on where YOU are e.g. Standard, Home, Out of Home takes you to another screen where you tell the app where you are, and weather the camera should record motion it detects or not. When you’re in the same place as your camera you wouldn’t want it to record when it detects motion because that’s you setting it off – so the setting to use is “home”. But when you’re e.g. at work, you would use “out of home”. Choosing Standard allows you to manually set days and times to record motion and alert you under the Protection Button (below).Clicking the link to the camera takes you to live playback of your camera. You can take photo stills, listen, speak through the camera and expand the screen for viewing.Underneath playback is a Protection, History and Share button. Protection allows you to modify the sensitivity of motion detection – options available are dependent on what you’ve set for where you are e.g. Standard (above). History plays back previously recorded video from motion detection. Share is self-explanatory.There is a spanner/ratchet icon in the top right corner from the playback screen – these are the function settings for your camera (not the settings for the app) – here you can change the camera name, see the Wi-Fi connection, device info, Micro SD card info etc. (it is here that I know that no matter where I am, or what device I am looking at the camera on, the camera is still connected to my Wi-Fi at home.)Hope that helps anyone trying to make a decision on buying this, or indeed a decision on returning it! Most of the poor reviews are due to “PICNIC” – Problem in Chair, Not in Camera.

Temperamental
PROS:Fast delivery.Easy set up.Picture quality good.Night vision good.Microphone feature works well.CONS:Will not recognise MICRO SD card so can't record.Won't connect when away from the house (which was the main reason I bought it. Now can only use when I'm at home)Frequently looses signal so can't even use when at home.Needs to be plugged in, it isn't chargeable so limits where you can put it.It's cheap, but it doesn't work all that well. If your wanting something reliable, spend the extra and get a better camera. If you just need a temporary camera this might be suitable.

Value for money
I consider this camera value for money - I’m a 67 yr old disabled technophobe and I managed to set it up. Although I often have to rely on the ‘photo’ of activity as my WiFi feed is unreliable, I have peace of mind that my two dogs are happy and not getting distressed or into mischief when I am out, one actually sleeps a lot - the other watches out the window.

Plug'n'Play camera ! easy to setup and immediately in operation !
This is the 4th I ordered after testing first 2 model of same camera. And that tells already I like the product and it does what it made for. Mobile application control is really a gift to handle this device from any remote location over 4G or WiFi. Video and Picture Quality is enough good to understand object. Only missing option is I can't disable infrared sensors when its not needed.

Brilliant! Purchased this to run along side a baby ...
Brilliant! Purchased this to run along side a baby monitor and it's brilliant for the money, I can have the app on my phone so I can watch it all around the house and has really good night vision. The only down side is it only has a USB so I had to use a phone charger plug to plug it in.
