Best 4K image quality PTZ camera out there. Without zooming in, you can read street signs from 170 feet away. There's so much detail. It's the best camera I have purchased. Night quality is great. Infrared lights go very far and are very bright at night. Insane zoom capabilities. You'll get the best image of any person or car with ease. PTZ is quick, going from multiple presets, zoomed in as well. Focus is fast compared to the 811a. Sound quality is the best out of the Reolink cameras I have tested. Anyone shooting guns in your area sounds great, and no shots are muffled like other cameras. Motion detection works best as well, and notifications come in very reliably. Tracking works well enough, but when zoomed all the way in, it works less effectively. The camera's live viewing image quality is very good. The PC and Android apps work reliably. Mounting the camera was simple, and the strong mounts help it stay secure. I recommend mounting it high off the ground, as it can be stolen easily and quickly with a screwdriver. I do have issues with playback always buffering half the time. Downloading video footage from playback and live viewing is great on a PC, but Android playback download is limited to 120 seconds. Using it without an NVR is a huge plus; plug in a microSD card, then connect to a PoE switch, and it works. This is the best camera overall that I own, and nothing compares to it. The police love the image quality and sound.

I got this camera to monitor the end of my driveway from a distance (~200ft) as to not have a camera close to the road (and there is no electric there anyway). The zoom is incredible. The picture is VERY sharp. You can adjust the pan/tilt speeds. I use it with the supplied AC adapter and the IR illumination at night is like a freakin' SPOTLIGHT!BUT...as with all my Reolink outdoor cameras (I have over 10 installed), it suffers from focus issues at night. Infrequently, but enough to mention it. When it loses focus at night, that out-of-focus state CONTINUES (even throughout the following day) until you zoom/un-zoom the camera to get the auto-focus to kick in again. Oh, and forget trying to disable the auto-focus and setting it manually. That NEVER works on ANY of my cameras.Still, considering the super high zoom and VERY sharp picture, its still a good camera (IMO). Good enough that I will be buying another one.

The media could not be loaded. The Most Expensive Reolink Out of my 13!It worked for a few months just fine like the rest, then one day it was blurry and completely out of focus. Auto focus no longer works no matter what I do. I have to manually focus it to have a temporary picture. However as soon as the IR kicks on in the evening, the feed goes blurry. If I refocus it for the night, then again the same thing happens in the morning simultaneously as the IR function kicks off. If I zoom in or out, it can't auto focus and remains blurry. Not even Presets help to resolve this issue. So basically instead of a nice PTZ cam, I have a brick that I must manually refocus twice per day if I want a viewable image of just one stationary spot. For the amount of money I've spent with Reolink I am beyond frustrated, beyond upset. Of course its too late to return. So I've paid thousands of dollars for my Reolink setup & cams, yet the one I was most excited about and the most expensive, is a useless DUD... Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it besides eat the personal financial loss and stare at the horrifically blurry view everytime I turn on my monitor!!!!EDIT (12/29/24):Full disclosure. I bought two of these RLC-823a 16x zoom cams, three Floodlight Duo's, and eight Bullet cams. Disgustingly, I have awakened to find out that the 2nd of my 2 zoom cams is blurry and has failed for no apparent reason. I believe I paid over 700 dollars for just these two pieces of electronic trash alone. I can't help but feel like I should be compensated in some sort of way, just in good faith alone. I never do reviews, much less write paragraphs, that should tell you something.High Quality security cameras... WHAT SECURITY????😡🤬😡Reolink send me different models that work please?

This camera is truly impressive, with crystal-clear 4K resolution, smooth PTZ functionality, and excellent night vision. The 16X optical zoom is a game-changer for long-range surveillance. However, be mindful of placement, this camera performs best when positioned at a greater distance from the area you want to monitor. I may have over-specced for my needs, but it still delivers outstanding performance. Highly recommend for those who need top-tier security coverage!
