Better Than Stabbing Your Hands, But Just Barely
I bought the Cable Matters Keystone Jack Punch Down because I enjoy the finer things in life — like crawling through attic insulation, crimping CAT6 cables at 2AM, and yelling "WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING?!" to an empty room.Let’s get something straight: if you've ever tried terminating network cable without a proper jack like this, you already know what true suffering feels like. Bent pins. Misfires. Blood sacrifice. So imagine my surprise when this little plastic miracle made the process almost painless.Pros:Snaps into the wall plate like it’s got somewhere to be. No jiggling, no forcing, no swearing. Okay, minimal swearing.Punches down cleanly. I didn’t even draw blood this time! That’s a personal best.Clearly labeled for T568A/B. Which is great, because let’s be honest — I always forget which standard I was using halfway through the job.Clicks in like it means business. You push the wires in, and the jack basically says, “Got it, boss.”Cons:Still requires a punch-down tool. If you try using a flathead screwdriver, you’re going to have a bad time and possibly a new hole in your palm.Does not automatically make your network faster, fix your router, or resolve your deep-seated emotional attachment to messy cable runs. Sad, I know.Fun Fact:Using this keystone jack is better than:Stabbing your hands with tiny screwdriversScreaming into a patch panel voidAdmitting to your spouse that you’ve spent $300 to “save money” wiring the house yourselfFinal Verdict:This thing is solid, affordable, and works so well it almost makes Ethernet termination not a soul-crushing chore. Almost. If you’re going to be a nerd crawling around with a crimper and a flashlight in your mouth, you might as well treat yourself to a jack that doesn’t make you bleed for your gigabit dreams.

Great aid for doing Keystone terminations!
If you are doing any terminating of female Keystone connectors these are a super great item to have. They hold the connector perfectly and make terminating so much easier. They fit your hand or can be rested on a surface with perfect control of the punch down process. Well worth having!

Good product
Works well only thing I would recommend on product improvement is add a rubber traction underneath so it doesn’t slide on slick surfaces. Other than that does it’s job.

Simple, but handy to have
This is a simple plastic stand, but it was very handy when I was using the cat6 keystones. Is it necessary to be successful? No. But it does make the job easier!

Some jacks don't fit snug enough
I think the effectiveness of this tool is relative to the jacks you use with it. I purchased CAT 6 jacks from CableSupply and they were a 16th to an 8th of an inch too short for this stand. I had to cut a small piece of CAT 6 cable and use it has a shim/bridge. Still, the jack moved around a bit and I was using it on the floor as opposed to holding it in my hand. That said, I think the stand makes what can be a tedious mutiple moving parts job a little less tedious. I am guessing results would be better if the jack was from someone else and fit more tightly.See photos. In one photo you can see the CAT 6 cable shim installed. Note to the right of the cable a short 1/2 inch piece of plastic (has a little bit of shine to it) which is part of the stand. It runs parallel with the cable. In the picture with stand and jack you can see that the 1/2 inch piece of plastic is not covered by the jack. That is the piece my jack just missed reaching, which would have provided stability. Without the shim, the jack tilted like a an old school playground seesaw. But even with the shim, the jack could still slide around a bit if I didn't keep pressure applied. In the end, I like the product but its usefulness is very much dependent on the make/model of jacks you choose to use.

Works GREAT!! Even with the new, heavier, CAT 6 wires!
LOVE it! LOVE it!!!! This saved me hours in installation of Keystone RJ-45 punch down connectors!! After almost 2 days of installations, only 2 wire issues, (my fault as I didn't punch down wires far enough). ALL others tested out 100% !!! This stand WORKS! Makes the job EASY, Consistent and quick! Even with the new, heavier, CAT 6 wires! (Thicker insulation and central spline) If I had done these by hand, the 'old way', it would have taken me at least three times as long with MANY more wiring errors!(See picture) SIMPLE setup, Screwed stand/holder to 2x4 scrap so it would be SOLID and not move, Attached 2x4 to old wood box so the connector was almost at the same height as the Keystone wall plate (added old socks, rolled up, to keep from scratching the fresh paint-new construction), added call-outs for wire colors to keep from making any mistakes, kept RJ-45 s+strippers+punch down tool+ cutters+screw gun+new plates+spares in box. Process: 1-set box under outlet box, 2-lay wires out of box onto Stand' 3-Trim to length 4-Unwrap RJ-45/snap into stand, 5-Strip wires and lay into RJ-45 6-Punch down 7-Repeat for all connections in that box, 8-Unwrap new plate and snap in RJ-45 connectors, 9-Screw plate onto outlet box 10-Drop tools/trash into box and move to next location.ONLY con: No mounting screw holes so I had to drill 2 holes into stand (Not a real Con for me though as I only needed the stand for Keystone RJ-45 s)

A must have
I think a must have to punch down the Cable Matters product. It's a little tricky (for my old hands/fingers) to snap the inserts into place at first, but after a couple it goes smoothly. This is a time saver for sure and makes for a reliable connection, be sure to use a quality punch tool.
