Casting Shadows Board Game - Kickstarter Exclusive Edition - Unstable Games

This game is AMAZING from start to end: design, mechanics, pieces.

This game is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to play it on game night. Be warned, you will need to purchase the Ice Storm expansion to get the other half of the ice storm components that come in this box (the polar bear and griffin characters). You need the add on to go with what comes in this set. Which kind of stinks, because the pieces you get in this set are pretty much useless without the Ice Storm expansion. So I don’t understand why they didn’t just put it all together and sell it as one set? Why only put part of the pieces in one box and the rest in another, when you need both to use all of the characters (the polar bear and the yellow hippogriff-like creature). Other than that, gorgeous art, really great quality, looks really fun. (Another side note, I wish all the characters had vinyl figures to go along, instead of just the core 6, I know a lot of people are using them instead of the wooden meeples and it kind of annoys me that you can’t complete the set).

I loved the art style and had so much fun playing it! Fun for the whole family and to play with friends. The cards shuffle really well and the game is such a creative concept! Overall, amazing.

This was so much nicer than I expected! The expansion pack and the items that come with the exclusive offer are INSANE! The figurines are rad, and the art on the play board mats is beautiful. The actual playing board was super nifty and the play through itself was simple but not boring. We all understood it pretty quick and had a good time messing around it with the attack and counter cards. Not to mention the art and names of the characters crack me up, this company is hilarious. Overall, totally worth!
