These are the BEST humidifiers. We found our first one in Mesquite, NV.We physically burned it out! We’ve since bought two more and were happy to see they’d improved on what we thought was already perfection.It couldn’t be more simple to use. We have softened water so we use just slightly warm water so it’s softened.Fill it up, turn it on. No chemicals, nothing!It has an improved plastic - charcoal filter. (Read to be sure). We clean it every two weeks. We live in High Desert so summer or Winter ours runs 24/7!!!We have one in a large Dining/kitchen area and one in our master bedroom. With the two Venta’s Humidifiers we bought they keep our humidity at 43% in 3,700 sq feet. They sit in a hallway and living room.If I had to add more it would be another Ontel. But we don’t!Be sure to NOT try lifting it when it’s full of water!!!You’ll will get wet! Look where the FILL line is and don’t overfill! Our Heatpump has a humidity indicator on it. But if yours doesn’t pick up a simple humidity indicator to help you know what setting you’ll pick. We leave ours running day and night. It shuts off automatically when it’s empty.We fill it on the folding table in our bedroom. In our kitchen it’s on the floor. Humidity makes our home more comfortable at lower heat settings, saving money on our electricity bill too!Don’t waste your time looking at any other humidifier. This is absolutely the best there is.(It will still be a COOL MIST after using warm water, we find we don’t have any issues with water spots or hard water at all if we start out with softened H2O.)If you have hard water you might want to add a cap of vinegar to the tank upon filling. It’s just something we’ve done. Not anything the Breathe Easy team suggested.Now, to order a New one! So thankful Amazon still carries them 🙏🏼

We bought two, because we liked a number of the features. And they worked great at first, but after a couple of days one of them died - just stopped producing mist. Amazon was great about it, agreed to let me return the defective one and to send a replacement. But the next night the other one died - exactly the same, just stopped producing mist. After reading some other reviews that said their's had leaked out the bottom, I noticed that ours had leaked as well. Save your money.Update 1/7/2018 - Upgrading from 1 star to 4. Amazon replaced the original items, and the replacements work great. I have to agree with the reviewer who suggested that those of us with negative experiences must have gotten a bad batch. We bought both of ours at the same time so it's conceivable they were from the same batch and it was bad. No problem with the replacements. The positive features are well documented by other reviewers so I won't bother reiterating. Those who got bad items, I'd encourage you to get replacements; Amazon makes the process simple, and then you just have to print out a label and send the old one back in the packaging the replacements came in. I can't comment on people's bad experience with the manufacturer because I didn't deal with them, I dealt with Amazon, and couldn't ask for better customer service.4 stars instead of 5 only because I did get bad products initially.

My husband purchased this for our bedroom. We fill it every three days and it is easy to use (set it and forget it).I purchased the same one on Amazon for my Mom and although it works, it was not that easy to set up.The manual shows you all the parts from the water basin up. It does not show you what's going on underneath. Needless to say, parts underneath were not in position and we did not know how to set them up.The telescope part has two little vents, one of them was cracked (not happy about that). There is no phone number to contact the manufacturer and don't know if I can get a replacement. For this I gave it 4 starts.

Provides cool mist immediately, is quiet & has lots of nice features. I really like that it fills from the top & you don’t have to remove the tank drag to a faucet (yes, I like to conserve energy ;) )However, compared to my other room humidifiers, it produces a lot more white dust, even though the same water is used. White dust may not be an issue for you since it is created by the minerals in your water and how much you run the humidifier. It’s very dry here so I’ve needed to run it a lot. Also we have hard water that is not softened nor filtered. Both of which should reduce white dust. Using distilled water would likely eliminate white dust, but I’m not about to start dragging lots of jugs of distilled water from store or buy a distiller to make my own..

I liked that it had an extender so that the mist would be sent out into the room at a greater height. And the machine worked great - for 15 or 20 minutes. Then it would say that it was empty and go off. It was not empty. I could readjust it and it would come on for a little while and then go off. Then I tired making sure it was level and making sure it didn't have too much water or too little water. The mist was very fine and just what we wanted. But.we spent a lot of time trying to keep it going. So we sent it back.We had not trouble sending it or getting a refund from Amazon.

With the heat on HIGH in the Northeast this winter 24/7, the inside air was extremely dry. Purchased this humidifier for my bedroom two years ago. Perfect. During Covid - and now working from home every day, purchased another humidifier that sits 4 ft from me while I plug away at the computer. It's run continuously 12 hours a day! Good product. Breathing better.

we have an old home and one with forced hot air. humidity is a must in the winter to not only keep us from dry coughing, but to keep the house warmer with less hot air usage. have had two of these for over two years and one stopped taking water from container. ordered two more and am loving them again.
